The papers are related to three broad subjects. The first is quantum cryptography, which includes technical and experimental issues and theory in a wide range of topics from the fundamental information-theoretical to commercial quantum cryptography. The second subject is quantum computing, in particular, some quantum algorithms are analyzed and basic restrictions for quantum memory are presented. The last part is closely related to the physics of quantum information processing. It includes solid state devices for quantum information processing, quantum memories and superadditivity effects for quantum resources. The book is of interest and recommended to researchers and graduate students of experimental and theoretical quantum information. Its unique feature is contributions by experts from both the West and the former Soviet Union. 410 0$aNATO science for peace and security series.$nSub-series D,$pInformation and communication security ;$vv. 26. 606 $aQuantum computers 606 $aCryptography 606 $aQuantum communication 606 $aQuantum theory 606 $aCoding theory 606 $aData encryption (Computer science) 615 0$aQuantum computers. 615 0$aCryptography. 615 0$aQuantum communication. 615 0$aQuantum theory. 615 0$aCoding theory. 615 0$aData encryption (Computer science) 676 $a004.1 701 $aHorodecki$b Ryszard$01672461 701 $aKilin$b Sergei Ya$01672462 701 $aKowalik$b Janusz$0104295 712 02$aNorth Atlantic Treaty Organization.$bPublic Diplomacy Division. 712 12$aNATO Advanced Research Workshop on Quantum Cryptography and Computing: Theory and Implementations 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910821006803321 996 $aQuantum cryptography and computing$94035823 997 $aUNINA
