Particularly in the northern region, dendrochronological studies have provided highly accurate sequences of occupation, which have correlated, in turn, to palaeoclimatic reconstructions in the area. The result has been the general conclusion that the lake-dwelling tradition was governed by climatic factors, with communities abandoning the lakeshore during periods of inclement conditions, and returning when the climate was more favourable 607 $aAlps$xHistory$vCongresses 607 $aAlps, Italian (Italy)$xAntiquities$vCongresses 607 $aAlps$xAntiquities$vCongresses 676 $a949.47 700 $aJennings$b Benjamin$01712476 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910820578403321 996 $aBreaking with tradition$94104659 997 $aUNINA
