This encompasses key housing issues, including: the meaning and significance of home; homelessness; resident participation; housing renewal and gentrification; socially mixed housing communities; Irish Gypsies; and post-apartheid housing policies. The book also includes discussion of specific methodological challenges and ethical dilemmas faced by researchers (and policy-makers). The book's core strength lies in its ability to showcase the versatility and practical application of qualitative research in housing studies. 410 0$aStudies in qualitative methodology ;$vv. 10. 606 $aHousing$xResearch$xMethodology 606 $aQualitative research 606 $aSocial welfare & social services$2bicssc 606 $aSocial Science$xResearch$2bisacsh 606 $aSocial Science$xSociology$xGeneral$2bisacsh 615 0$aHousing$xResearch$xMethodology. 615 0$aQualitative research. 615 7$aSocial welfare & social services. 615 7$aSocial Science$xResearch. 615 7$aSocial Science$xSociology$xGeneral. 676 $a307.336072 701 $aMaginn$b Paul J.$f1968-$01561235 701 $aThompson$b Susan$f1954-$01561236 701 $aTonts$b Matthew$01561237 801 0$bMEAUC 801 1$bMEAUC 801 2$bOCLCQ 801 2$bZJC 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910778088503321 996 $aQualitative housing analysis$93827774 997 $aUNINA LEADER 03340nam 22006372 450 001 9910818697803321 005 20210304120556.0 010 $a90-485-2181-5 024 7 $a10.1515/9789048521814 035 $a(CKB)3710000000222985 035 $a(EBL)1773779 035 $a(SSID)ssj0001374519 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)11887165 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0001374519 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)11326597 035 $a(PQKB)10695660 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC1773779 035 $a(DE-B1597)502500 035 $a(OCoLC)1059290483 035 $a(DE-B1597)9789048521814 035 $a(UkCbUP)CR9789048521814 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL1773779 035 $a(CaPaEBR)ebr10910346 035 $a(CaONFJC)MIL801062 035 $a(OCoLC)923709045 035 $a(EXLCZ)993710000000222985 100 $a20201130d2014|||| uy| 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur||||||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 14$aThe Malaysian Islamic Party PAS 1951-2013 $eIslamism in a mottled nation /$fFarish A. This work recounts the historical development of PAS from 1951 to the present, and looks at how it has risen to become a political movement that is both local and transnational, tracking its rise from the Cold War to the age of the War on Terror, and its evolving ideological postures - from anti-colonialism to post-revolutionary Islamism, as the party adapted itself to the realities of the postmodern global age. PAS's long engagement with modernity and its nuanced approach to the goal of state capture is the focus of this work, as it recounts the story of the Islamist party and Malaysia by extension.
