Egyptian material found in A-Group contexts has pointed to some type of exchange system between the two regions but the lack of A-Group manufactured objects in Egyptian contexts has led to the argument that the relationship was somewhat one-sided. Yet was it and how different were Egyptians and Lower Nubians during the 4th millennium BC? Re-examining the material evidence from three major archaeological salvage campaigns, and using anthropological and economic theories this book takes a fresh look at exchange patterns between Egypt and Lower Nubia. The changes and developments in these relationships potentially impacted the development towards the Egyptian state and the fate of the A-Group. 410 0$aCulture and history of the ancient Near East ;$vv. 47. 606 $aExchange$zEgypt$xHistory$yTo 1500 606 $aExchange$zNubia$xHistory$yTo 1500 606 $aMaterial culture$zEgypt$xHistory$yTo 1500 606 $aMaterial culture$zNubia$xHistory$yTo 1500 606 $aSalvage archaeology$zEgypt 606 $aSalvage archaeology$zNubia 607 $aEgypt$xCommerce$xHistory 607 $aNubia$xCommerce$xHistory 607 $aEgypt$xAntiquities 607 $aNubia$xAntiquities 615 0$aExchange$xHistory 615 0$aExchange$xHistory 615 0$aMaterial culture$xHistory 615 0$aMaterial culture$xHistory 615 0$aSalvage archaeology 615 0$aSalvage archaeology 676 $a382.0932/03978 700 $aRoy$b Jane$0720007 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910818123703321 996 $aThe politics of trade$94037006 997 $aUNINA
