Parity Nonconservation Effects in the Highly Charged Ions 330 $aPreface Spectroscopy of highly charged ions is of enormous interest due to its key role in testing quantum electrodynamics (QED), in strong fields and to possible tests on parity nonconservation (PNC), both of which are discussed in this volume. However, highly charged ions also play crucial roles in the physics of hot plasmas, for example, those produced in tokamak fusion devices and in inertial confinement fusion experiments. Much of the diagnostics of matter under such extreme environments relies heavily on spectroscopy and the availability of atomic data. The field of X-ray astronomy hinges almost entirely on the use of spectral lines from highly charged ions to provide information from distant astrophysical plasmas and objects. Given these fundamental interests and the current rapid developments in fusion and X-ray astronomy, it is clear that the spectroscopy of highly charged ions is a very rich area of research with strong and important connections with many important subfields of physics, for example, nuclear physics. The need for high-quality atomic data is as important now as it has ever been. Hence we feel that the idea behind this book is very timely. The aim of this book was to bring together a number of the techniques and ideas needed for highly charged ion spectroscopy research. The book is organized in two parts. Part I brings together techniques of light/ion sources, spectrometers, and detectors and includes also a chapter on coincidence techniques. This part ends with a discussion on how atomic properties change along an isoelectronic sequence. Part II is devoted to investigations of atomic structure and to applications and also to some of the theoretical ideas where precise studies of highly charged ion spectroscopy can be of fundamental significance,--$cProvided by publisher. 606 $aIon mobility spectroscopy 606 $aAtomic structure 606 $aQuantum electrodynamics 606 $aParity nonconservation 615 0$aIon mobility spectroscopy. 615 0$aAtomic structure. 615 0$aQuantum electrodynamics. 615 0$aParity nonconservation. 676 $a543/.65 686 $aSCI074000$aSCI055000$aSCI077000$2bisacsh 701 $aZou$b Yaming$01564770 701 $aHutton$b R$g(Roger)$01564771 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910781583003321 996 $aHandbook for highly charged ion spectroscopic research$93834021 997 $aUNINA LEADER 04556nam 2200661 450 001 9910817511603321 005 20230125193124.0 010 $a1-63157-032-3 035 $a(CKB)2550000001333578 035 $a(EBL)1752690 035 $a(SSID)ssj0001536619 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)11905230 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0001536619 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)11512340 035 $a(PQKB)10633304 035 $a(OCoLC)888415273 035 $a(CaBNVSL)swl00403767 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC1752690 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL1752690 035 $a(CaPaEBR)ebr10910525 035 $a(CaONFJC)MIL630071 035 $a(OCoLC)885020373 035 $a(EXLCZ)992550000001333578 100 $a20140821d2014 fy 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur|n|---||||| 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 10$aEssentials of retirement planning $ea holistic review of personal retirement planning issues and employer-sponsored plans /$fEric J. You'll begin by learning about the various plan types employers may offer their employees. Topics related to compliance testing will be thoroughly discussed as well as strategies used to legally shift benefits in favor of highly compensated employees (HCEs). However, some employers do not sponsor a plan. In this instance, retirement savers will need to understand the options available within the world of individual retirement accounts (IRAs). This book is not intended to provide investment advice, but rather to guide how different retirement savings vehicles function and how they can be effectively deployed. Many financial professionals find that their clients ask questions about all aspects of their financial life. For this reason, this book also discusses non-investment-related topics such as housing options, Social Security planning, Medicare planning, and a few other basic insurance-based issues faced by all retirees. 410 0$aFinance and financial management collection.$x2331-0057 410 0$a2014 digital library. 606 $aRetirement$xPlanning 610 $aretirement planning 610 $aretirement plan compliance testing 610 $asocial security 610 $amedicare 610 $aemployer-sponsored plans 615 0$aRetirement$xPlanning. 676 $a646.79 700 $aRobbins$b Eric J.$01634750 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910817511603321 996 $aEssentials of retirement planning$93975104 997 $aUNINA
