Patarenes was an alternative name for Cathars, and this text is of considerable importance to an understanding of the relationship between the western Cathars and older Byzantine dualist movements. Hugh's treatise is here published for the first time in a text established from the two extant manuscripts, together with a commentary and translation, a biography of the author and an historical introduction about the place of Hugh's treatise in the history of Christian dualism. 410 0$aMedieval Mediterranean ;$vv. 55. 517 1 $aHugh Eteriano :$eContra Patarenos 606 $aPatarines 606 $aAlbigenses 615 0$aPatarines. 615 0$aAlbigenses. 676 $a273/.6 700 $aEteriano$b Hugh$01761578 701 $aHamilton$b Janet 701 $aHamilton$b Sarah$f1966- 701 $aHamilton$b Bernard$f1932-$0161899 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910817474103321 996 $aContra Patarenos$94201123 997 $aUNINA
