China Mie?ville draws on the pioneering jurisprudence of Evgeny Pashukanis linking law to commodity exchange, and in turn uses international law to make better sense of Pashukanis. Mie?ville argues that despite its advances, the recent 'New Stream' of radical international legal scholarship, like the mainstream it opposes, fails to make sense of the legal form itself. Drawing on Marxist theory and a critical history of international law from the sixteenth century to the present day, Mie?ville seeks to address that failure, and argues that international law is fundamentally constituted by the violence of imperialism. 410 0$aHistorical materialism book series ;$v6. 606 $aInternational law and socialism 615 0$aInternational law and socialism. 676 $a341 700 $aMieville$b China$00 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910816272203321 996 $aBetween equal rights$91065529 997 $aUNINA
