Although lay religious life is often assumed to have been a tissue of ignorance and superstition, this study shows basic religious training to have been broadly available to laity and clergy alike. Reeves examines the nature, availability and circulation of sermon manuscripts as well as guidebooks to Christian teachings written for both clergy and literate laypeople. He shows that under the direction of a vigorous and reforming episcopate and aided by the preaching of the friars, clergy had a readily available toolkit to instruct their lay flocks. 410 0$aEducation and society in the Middle Ages and Renaissance ;$vVolume 50. 606 $aReligious education$zEngland$xHistory 606 $aCreeds$xHistory and criticism 607 $aEngland$xChurch history$y1066-1485 615 0$aReligious education$xHistory. 615 0$aCreeds$xHistory and criticism. 676 $a268.0942/09022 700 $aReeves$b Andrew$c(History Professor),$01645173 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910814017703321 996 $aReligious education in thirteenth-century England$93991484 997 $aUNINA LEADER 04138nam 22005775 450 001 9910879592503321 005 20250807143259.0 010 $a981-9731-11-9 024 7 $a10.1007/978-981-97-3111-4 035 $a(CKB)33992141200041 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC31603670 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL31603670 035 $a(DE-He213)978-981-97-3111-4 035 $a(EXLCZ)9933992141200041 100 $a20240813d2024 u| 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur||||||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 10$aNatural Product Inspired Scaffolds $eApplications in Tissue Engineering /$fedited by Mohit Kumar, Deepika Kathuria, Ajay Sharma 205 $a1st ed. 2024. 210 1$aSingapore :$cSpringer Nature Singapore :$cImprint: Springer,$d2024. 215 $a1 online resource (308 pages) 311 08$a981-9731-10-0 320 $aIncludes bibliographical references. 327 $aChapter 1_ Introduction to Natural Product Based Tissue Engineering -- Chapter 2_ Fabrication strategies for synthesis of natural product-based scaffold -- Chapter 3_ Applications of Natural Product based Scaffold in Tissue Engineering -- Chapter 4_ Natural Gums (Xanthan, Gellan, Arabic, Guar, Ghatti Gum, etc.) Based Bio-Scaffold and Their Application in Tissue Engineering -- Chapter 5_ Natural Product Loaded Chitosan and Collagen Based Bio-Scaffold and their Applications -- Chapter 6_ Natural Product-Loaded PCL and PLA-Based Bio-Scaffold and Their Applications -- Chapter 7_ Applications of Bio-Scaffolds in Plastic Surgery -- Chapter 8_ Bio-Scaffold and their Applications in Tissue Regeneration (Bone, Skin and Nerve Tissue Regeneration) -- Chapter 9_ Applications of Natural Product Loaded Scaffold for Wound Healing -- Chapter 10_ Enhancing Breast Reconstruction with Bio-Scaffolds - A Supportive Approach for Optimal Outcomes -- Chapter 11_ Toxicological and regulatory aspects of natural product based bio-scaffold. 330 $aThe book explains the use of natural products as scaffolds in tissue engineering. It presents an introduction to the concept of natural product-based scaffolds and explores various fabrication strategies for their synthesis. The book highlights the wide range of applications of these scaffolds in tissue engineering, including their use in tissue regeneration, wound healing, plastic surgery, and breast reconstruction. Specific natural products, such as gums (xanthan, gellan, arabic, guar, ghatti gum), chitosan, collagen are discussed in separate chapters. In addition, various application of natural product loaded PCL and PLA scaffolds have also been discussed. Each chapter focuses on the application of these natural product based scaffolds and explores their potential in tissue engineering. It also covers specific applications of these scaffolds in tissue regeneration, including angiogenesis, bone, skin, and nerve tissue regeneration. The book addresses important considerations regarding the toxicity and regulatory aspects of natural product-based scaffolds and explores the challenges associated with their implementation and emphasizes the need for safety and compliance in their use. Overall, the book provides a comprehensive overview of the field. It serves as a valuable resource for researchers, scientists, and professionals in the field of tissue engineering. 606 $aBiology 606 $aBiotechnology 606 $aRegenerative medicine 606 $aBiological Sciences 606 $aBiotechnology 606 $aRegenerative Medicine and Tissue Engineering 615 0$aBiology. 615 0$aBiotechnology. 615 0$aRegenerative medicine. 615 14$aBiological Sciences. 615 24$aBiotechnology. 615 24$aRegenerative Medicine and Tissue Engineering. 676 $a610.28 702 $aMohit$b Kumar 702 $aKathuria$b Deepika 702 $aSharma$b Ajay 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910879592503321 996 $aNatural Product Inspired Scaffolds$94231617 997 $aUNINA
