Over some 500 years, jars bearing seals were stored at the site. The findings throw new light on the late First Temple period and on most of that of the Second Temple. During these centuries Ramat Rahel was the administrative contact point between Judah and the ruling empires. This is what enabled independent Judean control of Jerusalem and the Temple, and the ability to maintain Jewis identity within Jerusalem almost without outside intervention and supervision. All this came to an end during the Hasmonean revolt" 606 $aExcavations (Archaeology)$2fast$3(OCoLC)fst00917564 606 $aAntiquities$2fast$3(OCoLC)fst00810745 606 $aExcavations (Archaeology)$zIsrael$zRamat Rah?el 607 $aMiddle East$zPalestine$2fast 607 $aIsrael$zRamat Rah?el$2fast 607 $aPalestine$xAntiquities 607 $aRamat Rah?el (Israel)$xAntiquities 615 7$aExcavations (Archaeology) 615 7$aAntiquities 615 0$aExcavations (Archaeology) 676 $a956.944 700 $aLipschitz$b Oded$01706989 702 $aOeming$b Manfred 702 $aArubas$b Benny 702 $aGadot$b Yuval 702 $aLipschits$b Oded. 801 0$bMdBmJHUP 801 1$bMdBmJHUP 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910812048603321 996 $aWhat Are the Stones Whispering$94094861 997 $aUNINA
