The present study points out the biased assumptions underlying Wellhausen's theory and the fallacies in this thesis. A strong case is made for the antiquity of the Priestly Code and its antedating the Book of Deuteronomy in light of many parallels between the Priestly Law and ritual texts from the Ancient Near East, and an examination of the mythic outlook in P which distinguishes it from both Deuteronomy and Second Isaiah. 410 0$aSupplements to Vetus Testamentum ;$vv. 100. 410 0$aSupplements to Vetus Testamentum.$pFormation and interpretation of Old Testament literature ;$v4. 606 $aJews$xHistory$yTo 70 A.D 606 $aJudaism$xHistory$yTo 70 A.D 606 $aP document (Biblical criticism) 615 0$aJews$xHistory 615 0$aJudaism$xHistory 615 0$aP document (Biblical criticism) 676 $a222/.106 700 $aWeinfeld$b Moshe$01084310 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910811512603321 996 $aThe place of the law in the religion of ancient Israel$94113616 997 $aUNINA
