As anti-Jewish stereotypes of an old-fashioned soteriological kind had become dysfunctional under the pressure of secularization, a new, more objective explanation was needed to justify the age-old danger of Judaism in the present. In the 1930s a new research field called ?Judenforschung? (Jew research) emerged. Its leading figures amalgamated racial and religious features to verify the existence of an everlasting ?Jewish problem?. Along with that they offered scholarly concepts for its solution. 410 0$aStudies in the history of religions ;$vVolume 157. 606 $aAntisemitism$zGermany$xHistory$y20th century 606 $aNational socialism and science 606 $aJews$xGovernment policy$zGermany$xHistory$y20th century 606 $aHolocaust, Jewish (1939-1945)$zGermany 607 $aGermany$xPolitics and government$y1933-1945 607 $aGermany$xEthnic relations$xHistory$y20th century 615 0$aAntisemitism$xHistory 615 0$aNational socialism and science. 615 0$aJews$xGovernment policy$xHistory 615 0$aHolocaust, Jewish (1939-1945) 676 $a305.892404309043 700 $aJunginger$b Horst$01627232 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910810393103321 996 $aThe scientification of the "Jewish question" in Nazi Germany$93963711 997 $aUNINA
