Coining the term 'Conscious Theatre Practice', Prendergast presents the scripts of three publicly presented theatrical performances, examined under the 'three C's' research model: Conscious Craft (writing, directing, performance; Conscious Casting; Conscious Collaborations. The findings of this autobiographical project fed into a working manifesto for socially engaged theatre company, Black Star Projects. Along the way, the research engages with methodological frameworks that include practice-as-research, autoethnography, phenomenology and psychophysical processes, as well immersive yoga and meditation practice; while race, class and gender inequalities underpin the themes of the productions. 410 0$aConsciousness, Literature and the Arts ;$v58. 606 $aConsciousness 606 $aMeditation 606 $aYoga 606 $aTheater$xPsychological aspects 615 0$aConsciousness. 615 0$aMeditation. 615 0$aYoga. 615 0$aTheater$xPsychological aspects. 676 $a792.01/9 700 $aPrendergast$b Lou$01722698 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910810042103321 996 $aConscious theatre practice$94123298 997 $aUNINA
