Based on a school-community project involving collaborative production of a video which tells the stories of several fictional girl characters, Gonick examines the contradictory and textured structure of the discourses available to girls through which their identities are negotiated. Woven throughout the book is the integral concern with the way in which ethnographic writing as a discursive practice is also implicated in the production and signification of social identities for girls. 606 $aGirls$xPsychology 606 $aMaturation (Psychology) 606 $aFeminist psychology 615 0$aGirls$xPsychology. 615 0$aMaturation (Psychology) 615 0$aFeminist psychology. 676 $a305.23 700 $aGonick$b Marnina$01692702 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910809898303321 996 $aBetween femininities$94069980 997 $aUNINA
