Skillfully laying the historical foundation, she argues that Berkeley in the sixties began in the 1930s when rules were laid down prohibiting political activity in order to protect the university against charges of Communist influence. These rules were later used to justify the suppression of all political activity and advocacy inside the campus boundaries. 517 3 $aAt Berkeley in the sixties 606 $aCollege students$zCalifornia$zBerkeley$xPolitical activity$xHistory 606 $aStudent movements$zCalifornia$zBerkeley$xHistory 615 0$aCollege students$xPolitical activity$xHistory. 615 0$aStudent movements$xHistory. 676 $a378.79467 700 $aFreeman$b Jo$01670152 801 0$bAU-PeEL 801 1$bAU-PeEL 801 2$bAU-PeEL 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910809139503321 996 $aAt Berkeley in the '60s$94031836 997 $aUNINA
