The book emphasizes the importance of developing a strategy for the world's future energy supply. The strategy must take into account: the finite supplies of natural gas and petroleum; the increased consumption of fuel by developing economies; the concern over greenhouse gas emissions; the pollution caused by burning coal (especially coal with a high sulphur content); the difficulties and costs of extracting unconventional fossil fuels; and the technical, soc 410 0$aRSC Clean Technology Monographs 606 $aEnergy policy 606 $aRenewable energy sources 606 $aEnergy consumption$xForecasting 606 $aPower resources$xEnvironmental aspects 606 $aPollution prevention 615 0$aEnergy policy. 615 0$aRenewable energy sources. 615 0$aEnergy consumption$xForecasting. 615 0$aPower resources$xEnvironmental aspects. 615 0$aPollution prevention. 676 $a333.79 700 $aDell$b Ronald$01544936 701 $aRand$b D. It includes analyses of different recarving methods, some of which can be attributed to geographically localised workshops. The different recarving methods have made it possible to suggest classifiable categories, which together underpin a hypothesis that the late-antique portrait style is a consequence of the many recarved portraits at the time. The practice of portrait recarving emerged due to economic, political, religious and ideological factors, and was influenced by the cultural-historical changes of Late Antiquity. The conclusion gives a new understanding of how wide-ranging, culturally and politically encoded and comprehensive the practice of recarving was. 410 0$aMonumenta Graeca et Romana ;$vVolume 18. 606 $aPortrait sculpture, Roman 606 $aAltered sculptures 615 0$aPortrait sculpture, Roman. 615 0$aAltered sculptures. 676 $a733/.5 700 $aPrusac$b Marina$0892651 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910807260303321 996 $aFrom face to face$94014789 997 $aUNINA LEADER 03193nam 22006855 450 001 9910437926403321 005 20251113210914.0 010 $a9783642383458 010 $a3642383459 024 7 $a10.1007/978-3-642-38345-8 035 $a(OCoLC)853093420 035 $a(MiFhGG)GVRL6XPU 035 $a(CKB)2670000000406842 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC1398790 035 $a(MiFhGG)9783642383458 035 $a(DE-He213)978-3-642-38345-8 035 $a(EXLCZ)992670000000406842 100 $a20130708d2013 u| 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurun|---uuuua 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 10$aDrilling of Polymer-Matrix Composites /$fby Vijayan Krishnaraj, Redouane Zitoune, J. However, they present several kinds of damages while creating holes for assembly. Delamination is considered the most serious damage since it reduces service life of the component. Thrust and delamination can be controlled by proper drill point geometry. Drilling at high speed is also a current requirement of the aerospace industry. This book focus on drilling of polymer matrix composites for aerospace and defence applications. The book presents introduction to machining of polymer composites and discusses drilling as a processing of composites. 410 0$aManufacturing and Surface Engineering,$x2365-8231 606 $aManufactures 606 $aBuilding materials 606 $aAerospace engineering 606 $aAstronautics 606 $aMachines, Tools, Processes 606 $aStructural Materials 606 $aAerospace Technology and Astronautics 615 0$aManufactures. 615 0$aBuilding materials. 615 0$aAerospace engineering. 615 0$aAstronautics. 615 14$aMachines, Tools, Processes. 615 24$aStructural Materials. 615 24$aAerospace Technology and Astronautics. 676 $a620.118 700 $aKrishnaraj$b V$g(Vijayan)$0739915 701 $aZitoune$b R$g(Redouane)$01871527 701 $aDavim$b J.
