This consisted of Latin translations of five Arabic works, including the first translation of the Koran in a western language. Known as the Toledan Collection, it was eventually printed in 1543 with an introduction by Martin Luther. The abbot also completed a handbook of Islam beliefs and a major analytical and polemical work, Liber contra sectam Saracenorum; annotated editions of these texts are included in this book. Originally published in 1964.The Princeton Legacy Library uses the latest print-on-demand technology to again make available previously out-of-print books from the distinguished backlist of Princeton University Press. These editions preserve the original texts of these important books while presenting them in durable paperback and hardcover editions. The goal of the Princeton Legacy Library is to vastly increase access to the rich scholarly heritage found in the thousands of books published by Princeton University Press since its founding in 1905. 410 0$aPrinceton legacy library. 410 0$aPrinceton oriental studies ;$vNumber 23. 606 $aChristianity and other religions$xIslam 606 $aIslam$xRelations$xChristianity 610 $aAbjad. 610 $aAbrahamic religions. 610 $aAdoptionism. 610 $aAdversus Judaeos. 610 $aAl-Battani. 610 $aAl-Biruni. 610 $aAl-Farabi. 610 $aAl-Furqan. 610 $aAl-Kindi. 610 $aAl-Mahdi. 610 $aAl-Masih ad-Dajjal. 610 $aAntipope Anacletus II. 610 $aApologetics. 610 $aArabic alphabet. 610 $aArianism. 610 $aArnobius. 610 $aAugustine of Hippo. 610 $aBenedict of Nursia. 610 $aBernard of Clairvaux. 610 $aBible prophecy. 610 $aBook of Revelation. 610 $aCaliphate. 610 $aCatechism. 610 $aChristian Standard. 610 $aChristian apologetics. 610 $aChristian martyrs. 610 $aChristian republic. 610 $aChristian scripture. 610 $aChristian theology. 610 $aChristianity and Islam. 610 $aChristianity. 610 $aChurch Fathers. 610 $aDavid Knowles (scholar). 610 $aDiocletian. 610 $aDisputation. 610 $aDonatism. 610 $aErudition. 610 $aGerard of Cremona. 610 $aGod in Islam. 610 $aGod. 610 $aGog and Magog. 610 $aHarut and Marut. 610 $aHegira. 610 $aHeresy in Christianity. 610 $aHeresy. 610 $aHusayn ibn Ali. 610 $aIconoclasm. 610 $aIslam and the West. 610 $aIslam in Europe. 610 $aIslam. 610 $aIslamic eschatology. 610 $aIslamic literature. 610 $aJacques Maritain. 610 $aJohn Calvin. 610 $aJohn Chrysostom. 610 $aJohn of Seville. 610 $aKa'ab al-Ahbar. 610 $aKafir. 610 $aLiber. 610 $aManichaeism. 610 $aMarcellus of Ancyra. 610 $aMohammedan. 610 $aMonarchianism. 610 $aMozarabs. 610 $aMuawiyah I. 610 $aMuhammad at Mecca. 610 $aMuhammad at Medina (book). 610 $aMuhammad. 610 $aMuslim world. 610 $aMuslim. 610 $aNestorianism. 610 $aNestorius. 610 $aNovatianism. 610 $aOld Testament. 610 $aOrosius. 610 $aPaschal. 610 $aPatripassianism. 610 $aPelagianism. 610 $aPeter the Venerable. 610 $aPope Gregory I. 610 $aPope Gregory VII. 610 $aPope Urban II. 610 $aPredestination in Islam. 610 $aPrudentius. 610 $aPsalms. 610 $aQuran. 610 $aQuraysh. 610 $aReligion. 610 $aRobert of Chester. 610 $aRobert of Ketton. 610 $aSabellianism. 610 $aSpread of Islam. 610 $aSunni Islam. 610 $aTahrif. 610 $aThe City of God (book). 610 $aThe Sufis. 610 $aTheodicy. 610 $aTheology. 610 $aUmayyad Caliphate. 610 $aUthman. 615 0$aChristianity and other religions$xIslam. 615 0$aIslam$xRelations$xChristianity. 676 $a297 700 $aKritzeck$b James$0206385 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910797879003321 996 $aPeter the Venerable and Islam$9536812 997 $aUNINA
