A micro-history of Franciscan liturgical activity, this study reassesses methodologies pertinent to manuscript studies and reflects on both the construction of communal identity through ritual activity and historiographic trends regarding this process. Welch focuses on manuscripts decorated by the ateliers of the Maestro di Deruta-Salerno (active c. 1280) and Maestro Venturella di Pietro (active c. 1317), in particular the Codex Sancti Paschalis , a missal now owned by the Australian Province of the Order of Friars Minor. 410 0$aThe Medieval Franciscans$v12. 606 $aMissals$zItaly$zUmbria$xHistory 606 $aManuscripts, Medieval$zItaly$zUmbria 606 $aManuscripts, Latin$zItaly$zUmbria 606 $aIllumination of books and manuscripts 615 0$aMissals$xHistory. 615 0$aManuscripts, Medieval 615 0$aManuscripts, Latin 615 0$aIllumination of books and manuscripts. 676 $a264/.0200945650902 700 $aWelch$b Anna$c(Information Officer)$01475667 801 0$bNL-LeKB 801 1$bNL-LeKB 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910797511603321 996 $aLiturgy, books, and Franciscan identity in medieval Umbria$93689930 997 $aUNINA
