Insbesondere bei Ottomotoren ist die als Füllung bezeichnete Luftmasse in der Regel proportional zum erzeugten Drehmoment und daher zentrale Größe bei der Formung der Fahrdynamik sowie des Fahrkomforts. In der vorliegenden Arbeit werden modellbasierte Vorsteuerungen vorgestellt, die es ermöglichen neben der Luftmasse auch die Restgasmasse im gesamten Arbeitsbereich des Motors einzustellen. Bei dem für den Vorsteuerungsentwurf eingesetzten Modell handelt es sich um ein physikalisch basiertes Mittelwertmodell des Luftsystems. Das Modell wird durch Anwendung der exakten Ein-/Ausgangslinearisierung invertiert. Es werden strukturelle Modellerweiterungen eingeführt, durch die die Vorsteuerung als inverses System stabil ist und eine physikalische Struktur besitzt. Eine reduzierte Form der Vorsteuerung mit der Luftmasse als einzige Regelgröße und der Drosselklappe und dem Abgasturbolader als Aktoren wird am Motorenprüfstand im gesamten Nennbereich des Motors sowohl stationär als auch dynamisch validiert.
