The central notion is a partition (an iterated decomposition) of a compact metric space. Via a partition, a compact metric space is associated with an infinite graph whose boundary is the original space. Metrics and measures on the space are then studied from an integrated point of view as weights of the partition. In the course of the text: It is shown that a weight corresponds to a metric if and only if the associated weighted graph is Gromov hyperbolic. Various relations between metrics and measures such as bilipschitz equivalence, quasisymmetry, Ahlfors regularity, and the volume doubling property are translated to relations between weights. In particular, it is shown that the volume doubling property between a metric and a measure corresponds to a quasisymmetry between two metrics in the language of weights. The Ahlfors regular conformal dimension of a compact metric space is characterized as the critical index of p-energies associated with the partition and the weight function corresponding to the metric. These notes should interest researchers and PhD students working in conformal geometry, analysis on metric spaces, and related areas. 410 0$aLecture notes in mathematics ;$vVolume 2265. 606 $aConformational analysis 615 0$aConformational analysis. 676 $a541.223 700 $aKigami$b Jun$065976 801 0$bCaPaEBR 801 1$bCaPaEBR 801 2$bUtOrBLW 906 $aBOOK 912 $a996418195703316 996 $aGeometry and Analysis of Metric Spaces via Weighted Partitions$91768616 997 $aUNISA LEADER 04827nam 2200589 450 001 9910795083903321 005 20230809234359.0 010 $a3-11-051982-8 010 $a3-11-052141-5 024 7 $a10.1515/9783110521412 035 $a(CKB)4340000000203618 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC5049510 035 $a(DE-B1597)473683 035 $a(OCoLC)1004874361 035 $a(DE-B1597)9783110521412 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL5049510 035 $a(CaPaEBR)ebr11443157 035 $a(CaONFJC)MIL1036836 035 $a(OCoLC)1004556108 035 $a(EXLCZ)994340000000203618 100 $a20171016h20172017 uy 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurcnu|||||||| 181 $2rdacontent 182 $2rdamedia 183 $2rdacarrier 200 00$aGame over? $ereconsidering eschatology /$fedited by Christophe Chalamet [and three others] 210 1$aBerlin, [Germany] ;$aBoston, [Massachusetts] :$cDe Gruyter,$d2017. 210 4$d©2017 215 $a1 online resource (452 pages) $cillustrations 225 1 $aTheologische Bibliothek To?pelmann,$x0563-4288 ;$vBand 180 300 $aIncludes indexes. 311 $a3-11-051796-5 327 $tFrontmatter -- $tTable of Contents -- $tEditors? Christian theology, on the other hand, sees in the end not the cessation of all life, but rather an invitation to play again, in God's presence. Is there a way to articulate together such vastly different claims?Eschatology is a theological topic which merits being considered from several different angles. This book seeks to do this by gathering contributions from esteemed and fresh voices from the fields of biblical exegesis, history, systematic theology, philosophy, and ethics. How can we make sense, today, of Jesus' (and the New Testament's) eschatological message? How did he, his early disciples, and the Christian tradition, envision the "end" of the world? Is there a way for us to articulate together what modern science tells us about the end of the universe with the biblical and Christian claims about God who judges and who will wipe every tear?Eschatology has been at the heart of Christian theology for 100 years in the West. What should we do with this legacy? Are there ways to move our reflection forward, in our century? Scholars and other interested readers will find here a wealth of insights. 410 0$aTheologische Bibliothek To?pelmann ;$vBand 180. 606 $aEschatology$vCongresses 610 $aEschatology. 610 $aapocalypticism. 610 $aconstructive theology. 610 $areligion and science. 615 0$aEschatology 676 $a236 686 $aBN 9000$2rvk 702 $aChalamet$b Christophe 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910795083903321 996 $aGame over$91384547 997 $aUNINA
