A first edition was published in 1953, but it omitted key Cornellians, historical anecdotes, and personal insights. In this twenty-first-century edition, Karen Penders St. Clair restores the author's voice by reconstructing the entire manuscript as Anna Comstock wrote it-and thereby preserves Comstock's memories of the personal and professional lives of the couple as she originally intended. The book includes an epilogue documenting the Comstocks' last years and fills in gaps from the 1953 edition. Described as serious legacy work, this book is an essential part of the history of both Cornell University and its press. 606 $aWomen wood-engravers$zNew York (State)$zIthaca$vBiography 606 $aCollege teachers$zNew York (State)$zIthaca$vBiography 606 $aEntomologists$zNew York (State)$zIthaca$vBiography 608 $aElectronic books. 610 $aCornell, Restoration, Archive, Nature Study, Entomology. 615 0$aWomen wood-engravers 615 0$aCollege teachers 615 0$aEntomologists 676 $a595.7092 676 $aB 700 $aComstock$b Anna Botsford, $4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut$01022094 702 $aSt. Clair$b Karen Penders, $4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 801 0$bDE-B1597 801 1$bDE-B1597 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910794190503321 996 $aThe Comstocks of Cornell-The Definitive Autobiography$93855309 997 $aUNINA
