Although some information on petroleum oil hydraulic fluids can be found, there is much less information on fire-resistant, biodegradable, and other types of fluids. Unfortunately, with few exceptions, fluid coverage in hydraulic texts is typically limited to a single-chapter overview intended to cover all fluids. Therefore, it is often necessary to perform a literature search or a time-consuming manual search of my files. Some time ago it occurred to me that others must be encountering the same problem. There seemed to be a vital need for an extensive reference text on hydraulic fluids that would provide information in sufficient depth and breadth to be of use to the fluid formulator, hydraulic system designer, plant maintenance engineer, and others who serve the industry. Currently, there are no books dedicated to hydraulic fluid chemistry. Most hydraulic fluid treatment is found in handbooks, which primarily focus on hydraulic system hardware, installation, and troubleshooting. Most of these books fit into one of two categories. One type of book deals with hydraulic equipment, with a single, simplified overview chapter covering all hydraulic fluids but with a focus on petroleum-derived fluids. The second type of book provides fluid coverage with minimal, if any, discussion of engineering properties of importance in a hydraulic system. The purpose of the Handbook of Hydraulic Fluid Technology is to provide a comprehensive and rigorous overview of hydraulic fluid technology--$cProvided by publisher. 606 $aFluid power technology$vHandbooks, manuals, etc 606 $aHydraulic fluids$vHandbooks, manuals, etc 615 0$aFluid power technology 615 0$aHydraulic fluids 676 $a621.2/0424 686 $aTEC009070$2bisacsh 701 $aTotten$b George E$0229340 701 $aNegri$b Victor J. de$01559358 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910779172703321 996 $aHandbook of hydraulic fluid technology$93824379 997 $aUNINA LEADER 02710nam 2200457 450 001 9910793906703321 005 20230822232746.0 010 $a1-933789-43-3 024 7 $a10.12987/9781933789439 035 $a(CKB)4100000010555892 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC6125960 035 $a(DE-B1597)550821 035 $a(DE-B1597)9781933789439 035 $a(OCoLC)1182880630 035 $a(EXLCZ)994100000010555892 100 $a20200421h20202005 uy 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurcnu|||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 10$aStratigraphy and paleontology of the Cloverly formation (lower cretaceous) of the Bighorn basin area, Wyoming and Montana /$fJohn H. Ostrom?s Stratigraphy and Paleontology of the Cloverly Formation revisits his groundbreaking work pinpointing the age of the continental sequence of the Bighorn Basin area in Wyoming and Montana. The Cloverly Formation is important for understanding the development of North American terrestrial landscapes and prehistoric ecosystems, and current investigations are reinterpreting the age of the Formation with new evidence and data. The reissue of Ostrom?s original benchmark research offers contemporary relevance for researchers and students today. 606 $aPaleontology$yCretaceous 615 0$aPaleontology 676 $a551.77094771 700 $aOstrom$b John H.$088346 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910793906703321 996 $aStratigraphy and paleontology of the Cloverly formation (lower cretaceous) of the Bighorn basin area, Wyoming and Montana$93835011 997 $aUNINA
