During the 20th century the locus of care shifted from large institutions into the community. However, this shift was not always accompanied by liberation from restrictive practices. In 2014 a UK Supreme Court ruling on the meaning of 'deprivation of liberty' resulted in large numbers of older and disabled people in care homes, supported living and family homes being re-categorized as 'detained'. Placing this ruling in its social, historical and global context, this book presents a socio-legal analysis of social care detention in the post-carceral era. Drawing from disability rights law and the meanings of 'home' and 'institution' it proposes solutions to the Cheshire West ruling's paradoxical implications. 410 0$aLaw, society, policy series 606 $aPeople with disabilities$xLegal status, laws, etc 615 0$aPeople with disabilities$xLegal status, laws, etc. 676 $a342.42087 700 $aSeries$b Lucy$01260717 801 0$bNjHacI 801 1$bNjHacl 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910555233903321 996 $aDeprivation of Liberty in the Shadows of the Institution$92921925 997 $aUNINA LEADER 01285nam 2200433 450 001 9910793137703321 005 20230814224411.0 010 $a2-87403-524-6 035 $a(CKB)4100000006669823 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC5509697 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL5509697 035 $a(OCoLC)1053833793 035 $a(EXLCZ)994100000006669823 100 $a20200518d2018 uy 0 101 0 $afre 135 $aurcnu|||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 12$aL'univers des marques politiques $eStrate?gies me?diatiques et techniques de mobilisation /$fNicolas Baygert, Lic Nicolas 210 1$aBruxelles :$cE?ditions La Charte,$d[2018] 210 4$dİ2018 215 $a1 online resource (58 pages) 225 0 $aCahiers Protagoras 311 $a2-87403-522-X 606 $aCommunication in politics 606 $aPolitical psychology 615 0$aCommunication in politics. 615 0$aPolitical psychology. 676 $a320.014 700 $aBaygert$b Nicolas$01132968 702 $aNicolas$b Lic 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910793137703321 996 $aL'univers des marques politiques$93798865 997 $aUNINA LEADER 01907nam 2200517 450 001 9910788921103321 005 20200520144314.0 010 $a1-77651-530-7 035 $a(CKB)3710000000059967 035 $a(EBL)675570 035 $a(OCoLC)710975084 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC675570 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL675570 035 $a(CaPaEBR)ebr10796726 035 $a(EXLCZ)993710000000059967 100 $a20131204h18642010 uy 1 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur|n|---||||| 181 $2rdacontent 182 $2rdamedia 183 $2rdacarrier 200 10$aCousin Phillis /$fElizabeth Gaskell 210 1$a[Auckland, New Zealand] :$cThe Floating Press,$d1864. 210 4$d2010 215 $a1 online resource (157 p.) 300 $aDescription based upon print version of record. 327 $aTitle; Contents; Part I; Part II; Part III; Part IV 330 $aLauded by critics as one of the most nuanced accounts of adolescence and young adulthood to have been penned in the nineteenth century, Cousin Phillis also offers a glimpse into the lives of working-class English farmers and the deeply intertwined extended family relationships that were a fact of life during the era. 606 $aYoung women$zEngland$xHistory$y19th century$vFiction 606 $aWomen$zEngland$xHistory$y19th century$vFiction 606 $aChildren of clergy$zEngland$vFiction 606 $aCountry life$zEngland$vFiction 607 $aEngland$xSocial life and customs$y19th century$vFiction 615 0$aYoung women$xHistory 615 0$aWomen$xHistory 615 0$aChildren of clergy 615 0$aCountry life 676 $a305.2420942 700 $aGaskell$b Elizabeth Cleghorn$f1810-1865.$0131743 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910788921103321 996 $aCousin Phillis$935565 997 $aUNINA
