Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) is an area of research based on Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), medical research, and sociological research. AAL is based on the notion that technology and science can provide improvements in the quality of life for people in their homes, and that it can reduce the financial burden on the budgets of the healthcare providers. The concept of Enhanced Living Environments (ELE) refers to the AAL area that is more related with ICT. Effective ELE solutions require appropriate ICT algorithms, architectures, platforms, and systems, having in view the advance of science in this area and the development of new and innovative solutions. The aim of this book is to become a state-of-the-art reference, discussing progress made, as well as prompting future directions on theories, practices, standards, and strategies related to the ELE area. It was prepared as a Final Publication of the COST Action IC1303 ?Algorithms, Architectures and Platforms for Enhanced Living Environments (AAPELE)?. The book contains 12 chapters and can serve as a valuable reference for undergraduate students, post-graduate students, educators, faculty members, researchers, engineers, medical doctors, healthcare organizations, insurance companies, and research strategists working in this field. 410 0$aInformation Systems and Applications, incl. Despite this dichotomous perception of human rights we talk about human rights as indivisible, interrelated and interdependent. The purpose of the book has been to examine how the European Court of Human Rights perceives of the indivisibility notion as a legal phenomenon. This is done by analysing five different socio-economic rights: the right to health, the right to housing, the right to education, the right to social cash benefits and various work related rights. The examination clearly illustrates that the Court perceives of human rights as indivisible rights and this integrated approach to human rights protection and its further potential is discussed from a hermeneutic perspective. 410 0$aInternational studies in human rights ;$vv. 101. 606 $aHuman rights$zEurope 606 $aSocial rights$zEurope 615 0$aHuman rights 615 0$aSocial rights 676 $a341.4/8094 700 $aKoch$b Ida Elisabeth$01577721 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910792456503321 996 $aHuman rights as indivisible rights$93856561 997 $aUNINA
