Our present is characterized by a heretofore unknown pressure on the environment, raising our awareness of the fragility of our planet and our responsibility to preserve it. How to reconcile this exigency with the challenge of demographic explosion? How to ensure a use of natural resources for human wellbeing that is not entirely dictated by market forces? How to rethink the relation between man and land and the environment? The terms ?governance? and ?sustainable development? contribute to a reshaping of the Law that is aimed at articulating contemporary political, social, economic and environmental issues. The focus of this book is on the major stakes involved and on the way to elaborate possible modes of thought and action through the exploration of African and Indian situations by means of an interdisciplinary and intercultural approach. By promoting a ?South ? South? dialogue, it also decenters global reflections that continue to be largely dominated by the ?North?. 517 $aLaw, land use and the environment 606 $aHistory 606 $aLaw 606 $aenvironment 606 $aland use 606 $aland law 606 $anatural resources management 606 $aintercultural dialogue 606 $asustainable development 606 $adroit foncier 606 $ausage du sol 606 $adialogue interculturel 606 $agestion des ressources naturelles 606 $adéveloppement durable 610 $anatural resources management 610 $asustainable development 610 $aenvironment 610 $aland use 610 $aintercultural dialogue 610 $aland law 615 4$aHistory 615 4$aLaw 615 4$aenvironment 615 4$aland use 615 4$aland law 615 4$anatural resources management 615 4$aintercultural dialogue 615 4$asustainable development 615 4$adroit foncier 615 4$ausage du sol 615 4$adialogue interculturel 615 4$agestion des ressources naturelles 615 4$adéveloppement durable 700 $aAbdelkafi$b Jellal$01329008 701 $aAnnoussamy$b David$0978171 701 $aAubert$b Sigrid$01278218 701 $aAuzary-Schmaltz$b Nada$01329009 701 $aBalaji$b V$01064382 701 $aChauveau$b Jean-Pierre$0160345 701 $aCullet$b Philippe$0562021 701 $aDejouhanet$b Lucie$01329010 701 $aEberhard$b Christoph$01322700 701 $aGaley$b Matthieu$01329011 701 $aHaribabu$b P$01329012 701 $aKarsenty$b Alain$0518672 701 $aLapeyre$b Renaud$01329013 701 $aLesage$b Manuela$01329014 701 $aMenon$b Ajit$01329015 701 $aMilol$b Christian Adonis$01329016 701 $aOmrane$b Mustapha$01329017 701 $aParthasarathy$b D$01329018 701 $aPrabhakar$b P. Bank liquidity tests focus on sudden, sizable withdrawals of funding and the sufficiency of existing assets to withstand those shocks under stressed conditions. The stress test results confirm a high degree of resilience of the sector. This reflects the strength of the banks at the starting position, which reduces their fundamental vulnerability to shocks. Banks in HKSAR hold very high levels of capital, are very profitable, and have a low level of asset impairments amid stable funding profiles. The Hong Kong Monetary Authority is encouraged to continue its integration of risk-based supervision in the development of stress test scenarios for macroprudential policy and surveillance. Banking supervisors routinely conduct stress tests and, from time to time, modify relevant assumptions in order to support thematic reviews of identified vulnerabilities against emerging risks. 410 0$aIMF Staff Country Reports; Country Report ;$vNo. 2014/210 606 $aEconomic development 606 $aInternational finance 606 $aBanks and Banking$2imf 606 $aFinance: General$2imf 606 $aMoney and Monetary Policy$2imf 606 $aBanks$2imf 606 $aDepository Institutions$2imf 606 $aMicro Finance Institutions$2imf 606 $aMortgages$2imf 606 $aFinancial Institutions and Services: Government Policy and Regulation$2imf 606 $aGeneral Financial Markets: Government Policy and Regulation$2imf 606 $aMonetary Systems$2imf 606 $aStandards$2imf 606 $aRegimes$2imf 606 $aGovernment and the Monetary System$2imf 606 $aPayment Systems$2imf 606 $aBanking$2imf 606 $aFinance$2imf 606 $aFinancial services law & regulation$2imf 606 $aMonetary economics$2imf 606 $aStress testing$2imf 606 $aCommercial banks$2imf 606 $aCapital adequacy requirements$2imf 606 $aBasel III$2imf 606 $aFinancial sector policy and analysis$2imf 606 $aCurrencies$2imf 606 $aMoney$2imf 606 $aFinancial institutions$2imf 606 $aSolvency stress testing$2imf 606 $aFinancial regulation and supervision$2imf 606 $aBanks and banking$2imf 606 $aFinancial risk management$2imf 606 $aAsset requirements$2imf 606 $aState supervision$2imf 607 $aHong Kong Special Administrative Region, People's Republic of China$2imf 615 0$aEconomic development. 615 0$aInternational finance. 615 7$aBanks and Banking 615 7$aFinance: General 615 7$aMoney and Monetary Policy 615 7$aBanks 615 7$aDepository Institutions 615 7$aMicro Finance Institutions 615 7$aMortgages 615 7$aFinancial Institutions and Services: Government Policy and Regulation 615 7$aGeneral Financial Markets: Government Policy and Regulation 615 7$aMonetary Systems 615 7$aStandards 615 7$aRegimes 615 7$aGovernment and the Monetary System 615 7$aPayment Systems 615 7$aBanking 615 7$aFinance 615 7$aFinancial services law & regulation 615 7$aMonetary economics 615 7$aStress testing 615 7$aCommercial banks 615 7$aCapital adequacy requirements 615 7$aBasel III 615 7$aFinancial sector policy and analysis 615 7$aCurrencies 615 7$aMoney 615 7$aFinancial institutions 615 7$aSolvency stress testing 615 7$aFinancial regulation and supervision 615 7$aBanks and banking 615 7$aFinancial risk management 615 7$aAsset requirements 615 7$aState supervision 676 $a338.9 801 0$bDcWaIMF 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910791297603321 996 $aPeople?s Republic of China?Hong Kong Special Administrative Region$93716324 997 $aUNINA
