Regulation and supervision of the insurance industry in Italy is the responsibility of the newly established Institution for the Supervision of Insurance (IVASS). IVASS has reached international best practice in several areas of supervision. IVASS actively exercises group supervision and by 2000, IVASS established the first college of supervisors. Intragroup transactions and related party participations limits are strictly monitored and enforced. IVASS handling of the licensing of undertakings is complete and comprehensive and ensures appropriate considerations pursuant to regulations. Enhanced supervision in some areas is required. 410 0$aIMF Staff Country Reports; Country Report ;$vNo. 2013/352 606 $aInsurance$zItaly$xHistory 606 $aFinance: General$2imf 606 $aInsurance$2imf 606 $aPublic Finance$2imf 606 $aIndustries: Financial Services$2imf 606 $aCorporate Governance$2imf 606 $aPension Funds$2imf 606 $aNon-bank Financial Institutions$2imf 606 $aFinancial Instruments$2imf 606 $aInstitutional Investors$2imf 606 $aInsurance Companies$2imf 606 $aActuarial Studies$2imf 606 $aBankruptcy$2imf 606 $aLiquidation$2imf 606 $aTaxation, Subsidies, and Revenue: General$2imf 606 $aCorporate Finance and Governance: Government Policy and Regulation$2imf 606 $aFinance$2imf 606 $aInsurance & actuarial studies$2imf 606 $aPublic finance & taxation$2imf 606 $aCorporate governance$2imf 606 $arole & responsibilities of boards & directors$2imf 606 $aInsurance companies$2imf 606 $aSolvency$2imf 606 $aInternal controls$2imf 606 $aFinancial institutions$2imf 606 $aFinancial sector policy and analysis$2imf 606 $aRevenue administration$2imf 606 $aEconomic sectors$2imf 606 $aDebt$2imf 606 $aRevenue$2imf 607 $aItaly$xEconomic conditions 607 $aItaly$2imf 615 0$aInsurance$xHistory. 615 7$aFinance: General 615 7$aInsurance 615 7$aPublic Finance 615 7$aIndustries: Financial Services 615 7$aCorporate Governance 615 7$aPension Funds 615 7$aNon-bank Financial Institutions 615 7$aFinancial Instruments 615 7$aInstitutional Investors 615 7$aInsurance Companies 615 7$aActuarial Studies 615 7$aBankruptcy 615 7$aLiquidation 615 7$aTaxation, Subsidies, and Revenue: General 615 7$aCorporate Finance and Governance: Government Policy and Regulation 615 7$aFinance 615 7$aInsurance & actuarial studies 615 7$aPublic finance & taxation 615 7$aCorporate governance 615 7$arole & responsibilities of boards & directors 615 7$aInsurance companies 615 7$aSolvency 615 7$aInternal controls 615 7$aFinancial institutions 615 7$aFinancial sector policy and analysis 615 7$aRevenue administration 615 7$aEconomic sectors 615 7$aDebt 615 7$aRevenue 676 $a331.82 712 02$aInternational Monetary Fund. 801 0$bDcWaIMF 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910790715703321 996 $aItaly$9225186 997 $aUNINA
