Am 24. Oktober 2013 veranstaltete der Lehrstuhl für Polnisches Strafrecht der Europa-Universität Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder) eine Tagung in Slubice, an der Rechtspraktiker aus Deutschland und aus Polen die Funktionsfähigkeit dieses neuen Rechtsinstruments besprachen. Vertreten waren das Bundesamt für Justiz, das polnische Justizministerium sowie Gerichte, Staatsanwaltschaften und Universitäten beider Staaten. Die Teilnehmer wiesen auf Schwierigkeiten der deutsch-polnischen Zusammenarbeit bei der grenzüberschreitenden Vollstreckung von Geldstrafen hin und regten Verbesserungsvorschläge an.
