Jung --$tBackmatter 330 $aIn 1925, while transcribing and painting in his Red Book, C. G. Jung presented a series of seminars in English in which he spoke for the first time in public about his early spiritualistic experiences, his encounter with Freud, the genesis of his psychology, and the self-experimentation he called his "confrontation with the unconscious," describing in detail a number of pivotal dreams and fantasies. He then presented an introductory overview of his ideas about psychological typology and the archetypes of the collective unconscious, illustrated with case material and discussions concerning contemporary art. He focused particularly on the contra-sexual elements of the personality, the anima and the animus, which he discussed with the participants through psychological analyses of popular novels, such as Rider Haggard's She. The notes from these seminars form the only reliable published autobiographical account by Jung and the clearest and most important account of the development of his work. This revised edition features additional annotations, information from the Red Book, and an introduction by Sonu Shamdasani, Philemon Professor of Jung History at University College London. 410 0$aBollingen series ;$v99. 606 $aJungian psychology 610 $aAbstraction. 610 $aActive imagination. 610 $aAmbivalence. 610 $aAnalogy. 610 $aAnalytical psychology. 610 $aAnecdote. 610 $aAnthropomorphism. 610 $aApotheosis. 610 $aArchetype. 610 $aArthur Schopenhauer. 610 $aBarbara Hannah. 610 $aBollingen Foundation. 610 $aCambridge University Press. 610 $aCareer. 610 $aCarl Jung. 610 $aCarl Spitteler. 610 $aCenser. 610 $aCollective unconscious. 610 $aConsciousness. 610 $aCriticism. 610 $aDeity. 610 $aDementia praecox. 610 $aDiagram. 610 $aDisease. 610 $aDream interpretation. 610 $aEdition (book). 610 $aEmma Jung. 610 $aEnantiodromia. 610 $aEranos. 610 $aExplanation. 610 $aExtraversion and introversion. 610 $aFeeling. 610 $aFormality. 610 $aGood and evil. 610 $aHumiliation. 610 $aHypnosis. 610 $aIllustration. 610 $aImagination. 610 $aImpasse. 610 $aIndividuation. 610 $aInferiority complex. 610 $aJaime de Angulo. 610 $aLecture. 610 $aLibido. 610 $aLiterature. 610 $aMarcel Duchamp. 610 $aMeeting. 610 $aMithraism. 610 $aMy Child. 610 $aNeurosis. 610 $aNominalism. 610 $aOf Education. 610 $aParticipant. 610 $aPersonality. 610 $aPhenomenon. 610 $aPhilosopher. 610 $aPhilosophy of the Unconscious. 610 $aPhilosophy. 610 $aPrejudice. 610 $aPrinceton University Press. 610 $aPrinciple. 610 $aPrinting. 610 $aPsychiatrist. 610 $aPsychiatry. 610 $aPsychoanalysis. 610 $aPsychological Types. 610 $aPsychologist. 610 $aPsychology of the Unconscious. 610 $aPsychology. 610 $aPsychophysics. 610 $aPublication. 610 $aReality. 610 $aReligion. 610 $aReligious experience. 610 $aRichard Wilhelm (sinologist). 610 $aSabina Spielrein. 610 $aSake. 610 $aSelf-experimentation. 610 $aSeminar. 610 $aSentimentality. 610 $aSigmund Freud. 610 $aSimon Magus. 610 $aSkepticism. 610 $aSonu Shamdasani. 610 $aSpirituality. 610 $aStupidity. 610 $aSuggestion. 610 $aSymbole. 610 $aSymptom. 610 $aThe Black Magician (novel series). 610 $aThe Erotic. 610 $aThe Other Hand. 610 $aTheory. 610 $aThought. 610 $aToni Wolff. 610 $aTranscript (education). 610 $aTransference. 610 $aUnconsciousness. 610 $aWise old man. 610 $aWriting. 615 0$aJungian psychology. 676 $a150.19/54 700 $aJung$b C.
