The form is considered unnatural particularly when characters use stichomythia to tell stories to each other. In Shared Storytelling in Euripidean Stichomythia Liesbeth Schuren tries to rehabilitate Euripidean stichomythia, using pragmatic and narratological approaches. In the section devoted to pragmatic analysis, comparison between the turn-taking systems in Euripidean stichomythia and naturally occurring conversation establishes to what extent convention and realism are operative. Using narratological arguments, the traditional apparatus is expanded to suit the dialogic nature of narrative stichomythia. Analysis of narrative presentation in storytelling with two interlocutors results in a multi-faceted perspective, an effect unique to narrative stichomythia. 410 0$aAmsterdam studies in classical philology ;$vVolume 22. 606 $aStichomythia 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aStichomythia. 676 $a882/.01 700 $aSchuren$b Elisabeth Maria$f1980-$0985504 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910467144703321 996 $aShared storytelling in Euripidean stichomythia$92252652 997 $aUNINA LEADER 03069nam 2200577 450 001 9910788798203321 005 20220819021526.0 010 $a0-8218-8173-6 010 $a0-8218-4745-7 035 $a(CKB)3240000000070018 035 $a(EBL)3113191 035 $a(SSID)ssj0000629345 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)11441096 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000629345 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)10718915 035 $a(PQKB)11583502 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC3113191 035 $a(RPAM)15657109 035 $a(PPN)197108210 035 $a(EXLCZ)993240000000070018 100 $a20090312h20092009 uy| 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur|n|---||||| 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 00$aImaging microstructures $emathematical and computational challenges : proceedings of a research conference, June 18-20, 2008, Institut Henri Poincare?, Paris, France /$fHabib Ammari, Hyeonbae Kang, editors 210 1$aProvidence, Rhode Island :$cAmerican Mathematical Society,$d[2009] 210 4$d©2009 215 $a1 online resource (208 p.) 225 1 $aContemporary mathematics,$v494$x0271-4132 300 $a"This book contains the proceedings of the research conference, "Imaging Microstructures: Mathematical and Computational Challenges", held at the Institut Henri Poincare?, on June 18-20, 2008"--P.
