The results show that export and import flows are mainly responsive to external and domestic demand, and less so to relative prices, although there is a small impact on imports. In addition, the analysis suggests that trade liberalization may have played a role in increasing exports and imports. Estimations of trade elasticities for other countries in Latin America tend to confirm the results found for Chile. 410 0$aIMF Working Papers; Working Paper ;$vNo. 2008/128 606 $aExports$zChile 606 $aImports$zChile 606 $aPrices$zChile 606 $aExports and Imports$2imf 606 $aForeign Exchange$2imf 606 $aEconomic Theory$2imf 606 $aTrade: General$2imf 606 $aTrade Policy$2imf 606 $aInternational Trade Organizations$2imf 606 $aAgriculture: Aggregate Supply and Demand Analysis$2imf 606 $aPrices$2imf 606 $aInternational economics$2imf 606 $aCurrency$2imf 606 $aForeign exchange$2imf 606 $aEconomic theory & philosophy$2imf 606 $aExports$2imf 606 $aImports$2imf 606 $aTrade liberalization$2imf 606 $aReal effective exchange rates$2imf 606 $aDemand elasticity$2imf 606 $aCommercial policy$2imf 606 $aElasticity$2imf 606 $aEconomics$2imf 607 $aChile$xCommercial policy 607 $aChile$2imf 615 0$aExports 615 0$aImports 615 0$aPrices 615 7$aExports and Imports 615 7$aForeign Exchange 615 7$aEconomic Theory 615 7$aTrade: General 615 7$aTrade Policy 615 7$aInternational Trade Organizations 615 7$aAgriculture: Aggregate Supply and Demand Analysis 615 7$aPrices 615 7$aInternational economics 615 7$aCurrency 615 7$aForeign exchange 615 7$aEconomic theory & philosophy 615 7$aExports 615 7$aImports 615 7$aTrade liberalization 615 7$aReal effective exchange rates 615 7$aDemand elasticity 615 7$aCommercial policy 615 7$aElasticity 615 7$aEconomics 676 $a338.0983 700 $aMonfort$b Brieuc$01493461 801 0$bDcWaIMF 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910788320003321 996 $aChile$93747511 997 $aUNINA
