The near-term outlook for the region remains broadly positive, and growth is projected at 5¼ percent a year in 2012-13. Most low-income countries are projected to continue to grow strongly, supported by domestic demand, including from investment. The outlook is less favorable for many of the middle-income countries, especially South Africa, that are more closely linked to European markets and thus experience a more noticeable drag from the external environment. The main risks to the outlook are an intensification of financial stresses in the euro zone and a sharp fiscal adjustment in the US--the so-called fiscal cliff. 410 0$aRegional Economic Outlook 517 3 $aSub-Saharan Africa : maintaining growth in an uncertain world 606 $aEconomic indicators$zAfrica, Sub-Saharan 606 $aFiscal policy$zAfrica, Sub-Saharan 606 $aExports and Imports$2imf 606 $aForeign Exchange$2imf 606 $aMacroeconomics$2imf 606 $aAgribusiness$2imf 606 $aProduction and Operations Management$2imf 606 $aInflation$2imf 606 $aTrade: General$2imf 606 $aAgriculture: General$2imf 606 $aPrice Level$2imf 606 $aDeflation$2imf 606 $aMacroeconomics: Production$2imf 606 $aHuman Capital$2imf 606 $aSkills$2imf 606 $aOccupational Choice$2imf 606 $aLabor Productivity$2imf 606 $aInternational economics$2imf 606 $aCurrency$2imf 606 $aForeign exchange$2imf 606 $aAgricultural economics$2imf 606 $aEconomic growth$2imf 606 $aFinance$2imf 606 $aAgricultural sector$2imf 606 $aExchange rates$2imf 606 $aProductivity$2imf 606 $aLabor productivity$2imf 606 $aEconomic sectors$2imf 606 $aPrices$2imf 606 $aProduction$2imf 606 $aExports$2imf 606 $aInternational trade$2imf 606 $aAgricultural industries$2imf 606 $aIndustrial productivity$2imf 607 $aAfrica, Sub-Saharan$xEconomic conditions$vStatistics 607 $aAfrica, Sub-Saharan$xEconomic conditions$y21st century 607 $aSouth Africa$2imf 615 0$aEconomic indicators 615 0$aFiscal policy 615 7$aExports and Imports 615 7$aForeign Exchange 615 7$aMacroeconomics 615 7$aAgribusiness 615 7$aProduction and Operations Management 615 7$aInflation 615 7$aTrade: General 615 7$aAgriculture: General 615 7$aPrice Level 615 7$aDeflation 615 7$aMacroeconomics: Production 615 7$aHuman Capital 615 7$aSkills 615 7$aOccupational Choice 615 7$aLabor Productivity 615 7$aInternational economics 615 7$aCurrency 615 7$aForeign exchange 615 7$aAgricultural economics 615 7$aEconomic growth 615 7$aFinance 615 7$aAgricultural sector 615 7$aExchange rates 615 7$aProductivity 615 7$aLabor productivity 615 7$aEconomic sectors 615 7$aPrices 615 7$aProduction 615 7$aExports 615 7$aInternational trade 615 7$aAgricultural industries 615 7$aIndustrial productivity 712 02$aInternational Monetary Fund. 801 0$bDcWaIMF 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910788319803321 996 $aRegional Economic Outlook, October 2012, Sub-Saharan Africa$93747509 997 $aUNINA
