The paper utilizes a model that accounts for foreign factors affecting inflation, such as trading partners' inflation and exchange rate pass-through effect, as well as domestic influences. The analysis concludes that, in the long run, higher inflation in trading partners' countries is the main driving force for inflation in the two countries, with significant but lower contributions from the exchange rate pass-through effect and oil prices. Demand and money supply shocks affect inflation in the short run. 410 0$aIMF Working Papers; Working Paper ;$vNo. 2008/193 606 $aInflation (Finance)$zPersian Gulf States$xEconometric models 606 $aInflation (Finance)$zSaudi Arabia$xEconometric models 606 $aInflation (Finance)$zKuwait$xEconometric models 606 $aForeign Exchange$2imf 606 $aInflation$2imf 606 $aMacroeconomics$2imf 606 $aMoney and Monetary Policy$2imf 606 $aPrice Level$2imf 606 $aDeflation$2imf 606 $aMonetary Policy, Central Banking, and the Supply of Money and Credit: General$2imf 606 $aDemand for Money$2imf 606 $aEnergy: Demand and Supply$2imf 606 $aPrices$2imf 606 $aMonetary economics$2imf 606 $aCurrency$2imf 606 $aForeign exchange$2imf 606 $aMonetary base$2imf 606 $aDemand for money$2imf 606 $aExchange rate pass-through$2imf 606 $aOil prices$2imf 606 $aMoney supply$2imf 606 $aMoney$2imf 607 $aSaudi Arabia$2imf 615 0$aInflation (Finance)$xEconometric models. 615 0$aInflation (Finance)$xEconometric models. 615 0$aInflation (Finance)$xEconometric models. 615 7$aForeign Exchange 615 7$aInflation 615 7$aMacroeconomics 615 7$aMoney and Monetary Policy 615 7$aPrice Level 615 7$aDeflation 615 7$aMonetary Policy, Central Banking, and the Supply of Money and Credit: General 615 7$aDemand for Money 615 7$aEnergy: Demand and Supply 615 7$aPrices 615 7$aMonetary economics 615 7$aCurrency 615 7$aForeign exchange 615 7$aMonetary base 615 7$aDemand for money 615 7$aExchange rate pass-through 615 7$aOil prices 615 7$aMoney supply 615 7$aMoney 676 $a332.41 700 $aAlogeel$b Hesham$01485162 701 $aHasan$b Maher$01485156 801 0$bDcWaIMF 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910788232003321 996 $aUnderstanding the Inflationary Process in the GCC Region$93704149 997 $aUNINA
