It was in November 1931 when a non-Jewish German made the initial contact with Nazi officials in Germany that led to the establishment of a miniature Third Reich with local NS groups, Hitler Youth program, and associations for women, teachers, and others in Palestine. Approximately 33% of all Palestine-Germans (Palästina-Deutsche) participated in the NS movement. Until today no extensive research written in English has been done on this bizarre "footnote" in history. While previous publications in German mainly concentrated on the members of the Temple Society, this work includes Protestant and Catholic Germans as well. It focuses on the relationship of Palästina-Deutsche with local Arabs and Jews. It covers the period of 1933 to 1948 as well as the years between the establishing of the State of Israel and the departure of the last group of Germans in 1950. At the end of the book, the reader will find a list with more than seven hundred names of those who joined the NS groups. 606 $aGermans$zPalestine$xHistory$y20th century 606 $aGermans$zPalestine$xPolitics and government$y20th century 606 $aNational socialism$zPalestine$xHistory$y20th century 606 $aNazi propaganda$zPalestine$xHistory$y20th century 607 $aPalestine$xHistory$y1929-1948 615 0$aGermans$xHistory 615 0$aGermans$xPolitics and government 615 0$aNational socialism$xHistory 615 0$aNazi propaganda$xHistory 676 $a320.53/309569409043 700 $aWawrzyn$b Heidemarie$01491349 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910787647403321 996 $aNazis in the Holy Land, 1933-1948$93713140 997 $aUNINA LEADER 05230nam 2200685Ia 450 001 9911019951103321 005 20200520144314.0 010 $a9786612362620 010 $a9781282362628 010 $a1282362623 010 $a9780470318959 010 $a0470318953 010 $a9780470318966 010 $a0470318961 035 $a(CKB)1000000000376445 035 $a(EBL)470341 035 $a(OCoLC)609849158 035 $a(SSID)ssj0000354562 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)11245305 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000354562 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)10313576 035 $a(PQKB)10992470 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC470341 035 $a(Perlego)2772496 035 $a(EXLCZ)991000000000376445 100 $a20740624d1973 uy 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur|n|---||||| 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 00$aOrganic reaction mechanisms$b[electronic resource] $h1972 $ean annual survey covering the literature dated December 1971 through November 1972 /$fedited by B.
