Subsurface flow models still need considerable development. For example, nonequilibrium effects, entrapped air, anomalous dispersion and hysteresis effects can still not be adequately described. Moreover, parameters of the models are difficult to access and often uncertain. Computational issues in subsurface flows include the treatment of strong heterogeneities and anisotropies in the models, the efficient solution of transport-reaction problems with many species, treatment of multiphase-multicomponent flows and the coupling of subsurface flow models to surface flow models given by shallow water or Stokes equations. With respect to energy and the environment, in particular the modelling and simulation of radioactive waste management and sequestration of CO2 underground have gained high interest in the community in recent years. Both applications provide unique challenges ranging from modelling of clay materials to treating very large scale models with high-performance computing. This book brings together key numerical mathematicians whose interest is in the analysis and computation of multiscale subsurface flow and practitioners from engineering and industry whose interest is in the applications of these core problems. 410 0$aRadon series on computational and applied mathematics ;$v12. 606 $aFluid dynamics 606 $aPorous materials$xPermeability$xMathematical models 606 $aTransport theory$xMathematical models 610 $aFinite Element Method. 610 $aMortar Method. 610 $aMultiscale Techniques. 610 $aPartial Differential Equations. 610 $aPhase Appearance/Disappearance. 610 $aPorous Media. 610 $aStokes-Darcy Coupling. 615 0$aFluid dynamics. 615 0$aPorous materials$xPermeability$xMathematical models. 615 0$aTransport theory$xMathematical models. 676 $a620.1/1692 701 $aBastian$b Peter$c(Mathematician)$0987842 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910787645903321 996 $aSimulation of flow in porous media$93713126 997 $aUNINA LEADER 04210nam 22006975 450 001 9910483975203321 005 20251113181258.0 010 $a981-15-1100-4 024 7 $a10.1007/978-981-15-1100-4 035 $a(CKB)5280000000190042 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC5996837 035 $a(DE-He213)978-981-15-1100-4 035 $a(PPN)243768273 035 $a(EXLCZ)995280000000190042 100 $a20191211d2020 u| 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurcnu|||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 10$aAdvancement of Machine Intelligence in Interactive Medical Image Analysis /$fedited by Om Prakash Verma, Sudipta Roy, Subhash Chandra Pandey, Mamta Mittal 205 $a1st ed. 2020. 210 1$aSingapore :$cSpringer Nature Singapore :$cImprint: Springer,$d2020. 215 $a1 online resource (336 pages) 225 1 $aAlgorithms for Intelligent Systems,$x2524-7573 311 08$a981-15-1099-7 327 $aPragmatic Medical Image Analysis and Deep Learning: An Emerging Trend -- Aspect of Big Data in Medical Imaging to Extract the Hidden Information Using HIPI in HDFS Environment -- Image Segmentation using Deep Learning Techniques -- Application of Machine Intelligence in Digital Pathology: Identification of Falciparum Malaria in Thin Blood Smear Image -- Efficient ANN Algorithms for Sleep Apnea Detection using Transform Methods -- Medical Image Processing in Detection of Abdomen Diseases -- Multi-Reduct Rough Set Classifier for Computer-Aided Diagnosis in Medical Data -- A New Approach of Intuitionistic Fuzzy Membership Matrix in Medical Diagnosis with Application -- Image Analysis and Automation of Data Processing in Assessment of Dental X-ray (OPG) Using MATLAB and Excel VBA -- Detecting Bone Fracture Using Transfer Learning -- GAN based novel approach for data augmentation with improved disease classification -- Automated glaucoma type identification using Machine learning or Deep learning techniques -- Glaucoma Detection from Retinal Fundus Images using RNFL Texture Analysis -- Artificial Intelligence based Glaucoma Detection -- Security Issues of Internet of Things in Health-Care Sector: An Analytical Approach. 330 $aThe book discusses major technical advances and research findings in the field of machine intelligence in medical image analysis.
