Though significant progress has been reached in recent decades, the interpretations proposed are far from satisfactory. Important new information is still awaiting inclusion in explanatory schemes. In addition to that, treatises on the origins of Bohemian state have frequently failed to take account of studies of scholars from abroad. Taking account of all this, the author proposes a fresh look on some of the essential data provided by history, archaeology, art history and cultural or social anthropology. What emerges is a nuanced perspective of the rising of one of central Europe´s first states, attempting to avoid the pitfalls to which traditional research has been falling, with emphasis on a broad scope of vision taking account of research results reached far and wide. 410 0$aEast Central and Eastern Europe in the Middle Ages, 450-1450 ;$v13. 607 $aBohemia (Czech Republic)$xHistory$yTo 1526 676 $a943.71/021 700 $aCharva?t$b Petr$0778498 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910785266003321 996 $aThe emergence of the Bohemian state$93727658 997 $aUNINA LEADER 04201nam 2200673 450 001 9910784805403321 005 20220204073134.0 010 $a1-4473-0370-9 010 $a1-281-15956-5 010 $a9786611159566 010 $a1-84742-140-7 024 7 $a10.56687/9781847421401 035 $a(CKB)1000000000407906 035 $a(EBL)419253 035 $a(OCoLC)476249548 035 $a(SSID)ssj0000119819 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)11140957 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000119819 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)10079839 035 $a(PQKB)11659143 035 $a(UtOrBLW)PPO00056 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL419253 035 $a(CaPaEBR)ebr10281209 035 $a(CaONFJC)MIL115956 035 $a(MdBmJHUP)musev2_80450 035 $a(UkCbUP)CR9781847421401 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC419253 035 $a(DE-B1597)647539 035 $a(DE-B1597)9781847421401 035 $a(EXLCZ)991000000000407906 100 $a20220111d2005|||| uy| 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur||||||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 04$aThe changing face of welfare $econsequences and outcomes from a citizenship perspective /$f[edited by] Jørgen Goul Andersen [and three others]$b[electronic resource] 210 1$aBristol, UK :$cPolicy Press,$d2005. 215 $a1 online resource (xiv, 281 pages) $cdigital, PDF file(s) 300 $aTitle from publisher's bibliographic system (viewed on 18 Jan 2022). 311 $a1-86134-592-5 320 $aIncludes bibliographical references and index. 327 $aFifteen -- Conclusion: policy change, welfare regimes and active citizenshipIndex. 327 $aSeven -- Citizenship and the activation of social protection: a comparative approachEight -- The active society and activation policy: ideologies, contexts and effects; Nine -- Individualising citizenship; Ten -- Gender equality, citizenship and welfare state restructuring; Eleven -- New forms of citizenship and social integration in European societies; Twelve -- The outcomes of early retirement in Nordic countries; Thirteen -- Early exit from the labour market, social exclusion and marginalisation in the Uk; Fourteen -- The emergence of social movements by social security claimants. 327 $aCover; The Changing Face Of Welfare -- Consequences and outcomes from a citizenship perspective; Contents; List of tables and figures; Preface; Glossary; Notes on contributors; One -- 'Active' citizenship: the new face of welfare; Two -- The goals of social policy: context and change; Three -- Which way for the European social model: minimum standards or social quality?; Four -- The advent of a flexible life course and the reconfigurations of welfare; Five -- Citizenship, unemployment and welfare policy; Six -- Paradoxes of democracy: the dialectic of inclusion and exclusion. 330 $aThere have been major shifts in the framework of social policy and welfare across Europe. Adopting a multi-level, comparative and interdisciplinary approach, this book develops a critical analysis of policy change and welfare reform in Europe. The book applies a dynamic and change oriented perspective to shed light on policy changes that are often poorly understood in the welfare literature, and contributes to a further development of the theoretical and conceptual frameworks for understanding social change. Using citizenship as a focus, several dimensions of change are analysed simultaneously: changes in the discipline of social policy itself; the changing character of social problems; changes in social policy and citizenship; and the emergence of new forms of social integration. The book also speculates on how different dimensions of change are interlinked. 606 $aWelfare state$zEurope 606 $aPublic welfare$zEurope 607 $aEurope$xSocial policy 615 0$aWelfare state 615 0$aPublic welfare 676 $a306.094/09051 702 $aGoul Andersen$b Jørgen 801 0$bUkCbUP 801 1$bUkCbUP 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910784805403321 996 $aThe changing face of welfare$93779342 997 $aUNINA
