Policymakers are becoming increasingly interested in the Community Economic Development approach as a way of achieving this aim. In Entrepreneurship and Community Economic Development Monica Diochon examines the development processes adopted by two rural, single-industry Canadian communities confronting the collapse of their economic bases. She argues that a community's effectiveness in influencing economic development depends on the extent to which entrepreneurship is encouraged and shows that, while a number of factors influence enterprise, economic activities that are community-determined and provide varied opportunities to participate in achieving short-term self-sustaining strategic outcomes are particularly important. 606 $aCommunity development 606 $aEntrepreneurship 606 $aCommunity development$zCanada$vCase studies 606 $aDe?veloppement communautaire 606 $aEntrepreneuriat 606 $aDe?veloppement communautaire$zCanada$vCas, E?tudes de 615 0$aCommunity development. 615 0$aEntrepreneurship. 615 0$aCommunity development 615 6$aDe?veloppement communautaire. 615 6$aEntrepreneuriat. 615 6$aDe?veloppement communautaire 676 $a338.9 700 $aDiochon$b Monica C$01523229 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910783402703321 996 $aEntrepreneurship and community economic development$93763371 997 $aUNINA
