Zwei davon halten für den Leser Überraschungen bereit: Eduard Beurmanns Prosabericht ist in höchstem Maße kritisch, ja zum Teil sogar sarkastisch, Christianus Juvenalis hat sich für eine hexametrische Satire (!) als ?Geburtstagsgeschenk? entschieden, nur Friedrich Wilhelm Rettbergs Schilderung liegt auf der offiziellen (d.h. enkomiastischen) Linie.
