With its increasing external energy dependence year by year, as well as frequent occurrences of oil, coal, and electricity shortages, the issue of energy security has been increasingly serious. What is the level of energy security in China? How might we improve national energy supply security and reduce energy trade risks? This book sets out a systematic piece of research which attempts to tackle these hot issues. It starts with the history of world energy geopolitics and domestic energy security, focusing on the hot issues of the complexity of the international energy market, and moves to domestic energy import trade risks, domestic strategic energy reserve strategies, and the impact of the energy crisis on domestic economy. Further insights include the environmental and health effects of energy consumption, the development potential of renewable energy, energy security early-warning and contingency plans, and an international comparison of energy security. The book will be an insightful resource for researchers and students of energy economics and energy management. It will also be a helpful support and reference tool for decision-makers in the energy industry. 606 $aEnergy security$zChina 606 $aEnergy policy$zChina 606 $aBusiness & Economics$xIndustries / Energy$2bisacsh 606 $aEnergy resources$2bicssc 607 $aChina$2fast 615 0$aEnergy security 615 0$aEnergy policy 615 7$aBusiness & Economics$xIndustries / Energy. 615 7$aEnergy resources. 676 $a333.790951 700 $aWei$b Yi-Ming$0878208 702 $aLiang$b Qiao-Mei 702 $aWu$b Gang 702 $aLiao$b Hua 801 0$bUtOrBLW 801 1$bUtOrBLW 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910793707903321 996 $aEnergy economics$93701451 997 $aUNINA LEADER 03395nam 22007214a 450 001 9910782776103321 005 20230721004230.0 010 $a1-282-19460-7 010 $a9786612194603 010 $a3-11-019888-6 024 7 $a10.1515/9783110198881 035 $a(CKB)1000000000691519 035 $a(EBL)364727 035 $a(OCoLC)476197351 035 $a(SSID)ssj0000164931 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)11152110 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000164931 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)10141499 035 $a(PQKB)11742636 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC364727 035 $a(DE-B1597)34644 035 $a(OCoLC)979583919 035 $a(DE-B1597)9783110198881 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL364727 035 $a(CaPaEBR)ebr10256417 035 $a(CaONFJC)MIL219460 035 $a(EXLCZ)991000000000691519 100 $a20070914d2007 uy 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur||||||||||| 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 14$aThe grammar of Carnatic music$b[electronic resource] /$fby K.G. Earlier varieties or 'incarnations' of Indian music elaborately described in many musical treatises are only of historical relevance today as the music described is quite different from current practices. It is argued that earlier varieties may not have survived because they failed to meet the three crucial requirements for a language-like organism to survive i.e., a robust community of practitioners/ listeners which I call the Carnatic Music Fraternity, a sizeable body of musical texts and a felt communicative need. In fact, the central thesis of the book is that Carnatic music, like language, survived and evolved from early/mid eighteenth century when these three requirements were met for the first time in the history of Indian music. 410 0$aPhonology and phonetics ;$v8. 606 $aCarnatic music$xTheory 606 $aMusic theory$zIndia 606 $aMusic and language 610 $aIndia/language. 610 $aIndia/music. 610 $ametrics. 610 $aphonology. 615 0$aCarnatic music$xTheory. 615 0$aMusic theory 615 0$aMusic and language. 676 $a780.954/8 700 $aVijayakrishnan$b K.
