As a result, when the disciplines are virtually mutually exclusive, as in the West, a full appreciation of non-Western approaches to either religion or philosophy is not easily attained, and distortions, such as appropriation, often occur. Within the last ten years, there has been a concerted effort on the part of a number of Western scholars to try to address these deficiencies and re-examine many ideas that have been misappropriated or otherwise excluded. These errors have resulted from a traditional approach where the religions and philosophies of non-Western peoples have been interpreted by reducing or manipulating their ideas and values to fit within Western concepts and categories. This project is conducted with full awareness of the post-colonial critique of such enterprises. One of the central questions addressed is how comparative philosophy and religion would change if the concepts and categories of non-Western philosophies and religions were taken as of equal importance." --back cover. 606 $aReligions 606 $aPhilosophy, Comparative 606 $aPhilosophy and religion 615 0$aReligions. 615 0$aPhilosophy, Comparative. 615 0$aPhilosophy and religion. 676 $a201.61 700 $aJoy$b Morny$4edt$0801791 702 $aJoy$b Morny 801 2$bUkMaJRU 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910141816103321 996 $aAfter appropriation$93386022 997 $aUNINA LEADER 02710nam 2200613Ia 450 001 9910782656803321 005 20230721004557.0 010 $a0-309-17844-4 010 $a1-281-80039-2 010 $a9786611800390 010 $a0-309-12430-1 035 $a(CKB)1000000000705279 035 $a(EBL)3378404 035 $a(SSID)ssj0000150849 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)11146897 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000150849 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)10280894 035 $a(PQKB)10378173 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC3378404 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL3378404 035 $a(CaPaEBR)ebr10255031 035 $a(CaONFJC)MIL180039 035 $a(OCoLC)923279356 035 $a(EXLCZ)991000000000705279 100 $a20080822d2008 uy 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur|n|---||||| 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 10$aEvaluation of the multifunction phased array radar planning process$b[electronic resource] /$fCommittee on the Evaluation of the Multifunction Phased Array Radar Planning Process, Board on Atmospheric Sciences and Climate, Division on Earth and Life Studies, National Research Council of the National Academies 210 $aWashington, D.C. $cNational Academies Press$dc2008 215 $a1 online resource (92 p.) 300 $aDescription based upon print version of record. 311 $a0-309-12432-8 320 $aIncludes bibliographical references (p. 65-69). 327 $a""Preface""; ""Acknowledgments""; ""Contents""; ""Summary""; ""1 Introduction""; ""2 Overview of the Current National Radar System""; ""3 Needs for the Next Generation System""; ""4 Capabilities of Phased Array Radar""; ""5 The MPAR Concept""; ""6 The MPAR Planning Process""; ""7 Evaluation of the Planning Process""; ""8 Family of Systems""; ""9 Concluding Thoughts""; ""References""; ""Appendix A STATEMENT OF TASK""; ""Appendix B ACRONYM LIST""; ""Appendix C BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCHES OF COMMITTEE MEMBERS AND STAFF"" 606 $aPhased array antennas$xEvaluation 606 $aRadar$xAntennas 606 $aRadar$xAutomatic detection 615 0$aPhased array antennas$xEvaluation. 615 0$aRadar$xAntennas. 615 0$aRadar$xAutomatic detection. 676 $a621.3824 712 02$aNational Academies (U.S.) 712 02$aNational Research Council (U.S.).$bBoard on Atmospheric Sciences and Climate. 712 02$aNational Research Council (U.S.).$bDivision on Earth and Life Studies. 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910782656803321 996 $aEvaluation of the multifunction phased array radar planning process$93857781 997 $aUNINA
