Moving through five chapters, each devoted to one or more works of Kierkegaard's criticism, the study develops a new approach to reading Kierkegaard - a new Kierkegaardian hermeneutic - that begins always with the character of the author. This new approach avoids the challenges of critics of biographical criticism, such as Roland Barthes, Michel Foucault, and Jacques Derrida, by positing the author always as a work of fiction him- or herself, the creation of an unknown and ever anonymous "author of the author". 410 0$aKierkegaard studies.$pMonograph series ;$v15. 606 $aPhilosophy, Modern 610 $aAuthorship. 610 $aCriticism. 610 $aKierkegaard, Søren (1813-1855). 610 $aPerformance (Literary). 610 $aPerspective/Point of view (Literary). 615 0$aPhilosophy, Modern. 676 $a198.9 700 $aWestfall$b Joseph$01529085 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910782503403321 996 $aThe Kierkegaardian author$93773115 997 $aUNINA
