Feminist studies of nationalism also envision women as either victimized by patriarchy within nationalist movements or as adopting masculine qualities to conform to the culture of their male compatriots. Jacoby takes an alternative approach, considering how women are situated across the political spectrum. She argues that when categories other than gender - such as class, ethnicity, religion, and political perspective - are considered, there is no single perspective on what it means to be a woman in conflict. 606 $aWomen$xPolitical activity$zIsrael 606 $aSex discrimination against women$zIsrael 606 $aWomen and war$zIsrael 606 $aWar and society$zIsrael 615 0$aWomen$xPolitical activity 615 0$aSex discrimination against women 615 0$aWomen and war 615 0$aWar and society 676 $a305.42095694 686 $a89.62$2bcl 700 $aJacoby$b Tami Amanda$0800706 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910782181103321 996 $aWomen in zones of conflict$93760955 997 $aUNINA
