Job 28 serves a special rhetorical function within the book, and more specifically within chapters 22-31. This work provides a significant interpretative key to Job 28 within the most perplexing section of the book (Job 22-31). Job 28 is in contradictory juxtaposition with other sayings of Job. However, this study argues that such contradictory juxtaposition is a feature of Job's speeches in chapters 22-31, and is part of the author's strategy to make a rhetorical impact upon the audience. 410 0$aSupplements to Vetus Testamentum ;$vv. 97. 608 $aElectronic books. 676 $a221 s 676 $a223/.106 700 $aLo$b Alison$0986409 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910449871603321 996 $aJob 28 as rhetoric$92254370 997 $aUNINA LEADER 02507nam 2200553Ia 450 001 9910781848003321 005 20230802004229.0 010 $a0-8047-8264-4 024 7 $a10.1515/9780804782647 035 $a(CKB)2550000000062934 035 $a(EBL)794595 035 $a(OCoLC)763161447 035 $a(SSID)ssj0000638725 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)11375140 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000638725 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)10586587 035 $a(PQKB)11115587 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC794595 035 $a(DE-B1597)564226 035 $a(DE-B1597)9780804782647 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL794595 035 $a(CaPaEBR)ebr10509345 035 $a(OCoLC)1198931960 035 $a(EXLCZ)992550000000062934 100 $a20110526d2012 uy 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur|n|---||||| 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 10$aMonopolizing the Master$b[electronic resource] $eHenry James and the politics of modern literary scholarship /$fMichael Anesko 210 $aStanford, CA $cStanford University Press$d2012 215 $a1 online resource (270 p.) 300 $aDescription based upon print version of record. 311 $a0-8047-6932-X 320 $aIncludes bibliographical references and index. 327 $aContents; Figures; Preface; Acknowledgments; 1. Despite this, almost immediately after his death in 1916 an intense struggle began among his family and his literary disciples to control his posthumous reputation, a struggle that was continued by later generations of critics and biographers. Monopolizing the Master gives a blow-by-blow account of this conflict, which aroused intense feelings of jealousy, suspicion, and proprietorship among those w 606 $aAuthors, American$xBiography$xHistory and criticism 615 0$aAuthors, American$xBiography$xHistory and criticism. 676 $a813/.4 700 $aAnesko$b Michael$0981910 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910781848003321 996 $aMonopolizing the Master$93679142 997 $aUNINA
