It lays special emphasis on the recurrence of similar phenomena in magical texts as far apart as the Akkadian cuneiform tablets and an Arabic manuscript bought in Egypt in the late-twentieth century. Such similarities demonstrate to what extent many different cultures share a ?magical logic? which is strikingly identical, and in particular they show the recurrence of certain phenomena when magical practices are transmitted in written form and often preserve, adopt and adapt much older textual units. 410 0$aJerusalem studies in religion and culture ;$vv. 15. 606 $aMagic$xHistory$vCongresses 606 $aOccultism$xHistory$vCongresses 615 0$aMagic$xHistory 615 0$aOccultism$xHistory 676 $a133.4/309 701 $aBohak$b Gideon$f1961-$01493579 701 $aHarari$b Yuval$01493580 701 $aShaked$b Shaul$0156654 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910781454903321 996 $aContinuity and innovation in the magical tradition$93716594 997 $aUNINA LEADER 03741nam 22006374a 450 001 9910780321903321 005 20230617024554.0 010 $a1-280-46471-2 010 $a9786610464715 010 $a1-4175-1041-2 010 $a90-474-0088-7 035 $a(CKB)111090529275974 035 $a(EBL)253685 035 $a(OCoLC)559901665 035 $a(SSID)ssj0000121620 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)11134681 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000121620 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)10132311 035 $a(PQKB)10599864 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC253685 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL253685 035 $a(CaPaEBR)ebr10089093 035 $a(CaONFJC)MIL46471 035 $a(OCoLC)55599868 035 $a(EXLCZ)99111090529275974 100 $a20020607d2003 uy 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur|n|---||||| 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 04$aThe chivalric ethos and the development of military professionalism$b[electronic resource] /$fedited by D.J.B.
