But a group of Keynesian scholars warned for some years that strong forces were leading the US toward a deep, persistent downturn. This book collects essays about these events from prominent macroeconomists who developed a perspective that predicted the broad outline and many specific aspects of the crisis. From this point of view, the recovery of employment and revival of strong growth requires more than short-term monetary easing and temporary fiscal stimulus. Economists and policy makers need to explore how the process of demand formation failed after 2007 and where demand will come from going forward. Successive chapters address the sources and dynamics of demand, the distribution and growth of wages, the structure of finance and challenges from globalization, and inform recommendations for monetary and fiscal policies to achieve a more efficient and equitable society. 606 $aRecessions$zUnited States$xHistory$y21st century 606 $aGlobal Financial Crisis, 2008-2009 606 $aUnemployment$xEffect of inflation on$zUnited States$xHistory$y21st century 606 $aKeynesian economics 607 $aUnited States$xEconomic policy$y2009- 615 0$aRecessions$xHistory 615 0$aGlobal Financial Crisis, 2008-2009. 615 0$aUnemployment$xEffect of inflation on$xHistory 615 0$aKeynesian economics. 676 $a330.973 686 $aBUS069030$2bisacsh 702 $aCynamon$b Barry Z.$f1984- 702 $aFazzari$b Steven M. 702 $aSetterfield$b Mark$f1967- 702 $aKuttner$b Robert 801 0$bUkCbUP 801 1$bUkCbUP 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910779342103321 996 $aAfter the great recession$93726175 997 $aUNINA LEADER 04239nam 22006255 450 001 9910424623203321 005 20231110225357.0 010 $a9783110639445 010 $a3110639440 024 7 $a10.1515/9783110639445 035 $a(CKB)4100000011559107 035 $a(DE-B1597)530629 035 $a(DE-B1597)9783110639445 035 $a(OCoLC)1202624777 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC6637607 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL6637607 035 $a(OCoLC)1281983071 035 $a(oapen)https://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/61005 035 $a(oapen)doab61005 035 $a(EXLCZ)994100000011559107 100 $a20201028h20202020 fg 101 0 $ager 135 $aur||||||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 10$aTopografien des 20. 330 $aThe polyphonic world poem Galáxias (1984) by Brazilian poet Haroldo de Campos has, to date, mainly been discussed in the broader context of concrete poetry and the Latin American neo-baroque. In this book, Jasmin Wrobel offers a completely new reading of the work as a poetic testimony to a century of catastrophes: references to traumatic historical events are embedded as ?stumbling blocks? in the textual architecture, guiding the reader towards a ?Poetics of Stumbling?. 410 0$aMimesis 606 $aLITERARY CRITICISM / Caribbean & Latin American$2bisacsh 608 $aCriticism, interpretation, etc.$2fast 610 $aCampos, Haroldo de. 610 $aPound, Ezra. 610 $aconcrete poetry. 610 $amemorial poetry. 615 7$aLITERARY CRITICISM / Caribbean & Latin American. 676 $a869.1/42 700 $aWrobel$b Jasmin$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut$0969771 712 02$aFreie Universita?t Berlin,$4fnd$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/fnd 801 0$bDE-B1597 801 1$bDE-B1597 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910424623203321 996 $aTopografien des 20.
