While the capabilities theory has avoided many of the conceptual difficulties that have undermined competing accounts of egalitarian justice, recent criticisms have raised questions regarding the focus, structure and justification of the theory. In this volume, leading scholars present new and original essays that address these controversies. < 410 0$aRoutledge innovations in political theory ;$v18. 606 $aSocial justice 606 $aDistributive justice 606 $aEquality 615 0$aSocial justice. 615 0$aDistributive justice. 615 0$aEquality. 676 $a303.3/72 701 $aKaufman$b Alexander$f1958-$01521821 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910785089403321 996 $aCapabilities equality$93761228 997 $aUNINA LEADER 02800nam 22005892 450 001 9910776180903321 005 20251019235736.0 010 $a9789004521308 010 $a9004521305 024 7 $a10.1163/9789004521308 035 $a(CKB)5680000000080916 035 $a(nllekb)BRILL9789004521308 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC31217703 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL31217703 035 $a(EXLCZ)995680000000080916 100 $a20220630d2022 uy 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurun#|||uuuua 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $2rdacarrier 200 10$aAramaic Daniel $eA Textual Reconstruction of Chapters 1?7 /$fBenjamin D. These stories have mostly been transmitted in Aramaic, not Hebrew, as has the influential apocalypse of Daniel 7. This Aramaic corpus shows clear signs of multiple authorship. Which different textual layers can we tease apart, and what do they tell us about the changing function of the Danielic material during the Second Temple Period? This monograph compares the Masoretic Text of Daniel to ancient manuscripts and translations preserving textual variants. By highlighting tensions in the reconstructed archetype underlying all these texts, it then probes the tales? prehistory even further, showing how Daniel underwent many transformations to yield the book we know today. 410 0$aStudia Semitica Neerlandica ;$v73. 517 3 $aA Textual Reconstruction of Chapters 1?7 606 $aAfroasiatic languages 606 $aChristians$xStudy and teaching 606 $aJews$xStudy and teaching 606 $aLanguage and languages 606 $aIslam$xStudy and teaching 607 $aMiddle East$xCivilization$yTo 622 615 0$aAfroasiatic languages. 615 0$aChristians$xStudy and teaching. 615 0$aJews$xStudy and teaching. 615 0$aLanguage and languages. 615 0$aIslam$xStudy and teaching. 676 $a220.096 700 $aSuchard$b Benjamin D.$01494661 801 0$bNL-LeKB 801 1$bNL-LeKB 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910776180903321 996 $aAramaic Daniel$93718325 997 $aUNINA
