Skovoroda (demonology, the struggle against sin, the spiritualisation of worldly time) against the background of Neoplatonism in its Judaic-Christian interpretation and the Byzantine mystic-ascetic tradition. The author proposes an analysis of Skovoroda's dialogues in which the search for Neoplatonist sources is combined with the identification of elements that can be traced to the tripartite breakdown of the spiritual progress of the Christian into praxis, gnosis. This division, typical of the Eastern Church, conceives spiritual life as an ascending path organised in progressive levels. The study of Skovoroda's universe-text yields two constants. The first is an intense interrelation between the Text and the divine Logos (the Biblical word), which, replicating the schema envisioned in the Christianisation of the cosmology of the Timeo, becomes an active architectural component of the same. The second is an image of the world dominated by a vertical/centripetal orientation, which implies the possibility of a return of things to God, the ultimate end of the path leading from the praxis to the theoria. 517 $aIntrospice mare pectoris tui 676 $a197 676 $a231 676 $a920 676 $a126 676 $a186 700 $aBartolini$b Maria Grazia$0939191 801 0$bNjHacI 801 1$bNjHacl 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910774880903321 996 $aIntrospice mare pectoris tui$92878717 997 $aUNINA LEADER 03169nam 2200757Ia 450 001 9910792415903321 005 20230914165537.0 010 $a0-8047-7380-7 024 7 $a10.1515/9780804773805 035 $a(CKB)2670000000014937 035 $a(EBL)515309 035 $a(OCoLC)609863121 035 $a(SSID)ssj0000358583 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)12082777 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000358583 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)10380084 035 $a(PQKB)11208345 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC515309 035 $a(DE-B1597)564538 035 $a(DE-B1597)9780804773805 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL515309 035 $a(CaPaEBR)ebr10379967 035 $a(OCoLC)1198930609 035 $a(EXLCZ)992670000000014937 100 $a20090522d2010 uy 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur|n|---||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 14$aThe culture of military innovation$ethe impact of cultural factors on the Revolution in Military Affairs in Russia, the US, and Israel 210 1$aStanford, California$cStanford University Press$d2010 215 $a1 online resource (xii, 231 pages) 300 $aDescription based upon print version of record. 311 1 $a0-8047-6951-6 311 1 $a0-8047-6952-4 320 $aIncludes bibliographical references and index. 327 $aCONTENTS; Acknowledgments; Introduction; 1.
