The series began with the account of Dessi?'s early years (1926-1931) and continued with precious details of the period of his development (1931-1948) and the literary production of his maturity (1949-1951; 1952-1962). This time the author's experience and his own notes enable what is almost an 'autobiography of the artistic process' that offers eloquent insight into the creation of Paese d'ombre: not only a reconstruction of the genesis of the novel that won Dessi? the Premio Strega, but also the sketching out of events and characters and the gradual definition of the plot. The literary evidence does not stop here, since significant texts of his theatrical production (Eleonora d'Arborea) can also be placed in this last fifteen years, along with narrative (for example Lei era l'acqua). All is set against the backdrop of family, friends (who also suddenly disappear), political passion and a courageous struggle against disease. 606 $aAuthors, Italian$y20th century$vDiaries 615 0$aAuthors, Italian 676 $a858.91203 700 $aDessi?$b Giuseppe$f1909-1977,$0412365 701 $aLinari$b Franca$01240876 701 $aLencioni$b Francesca$01461049 801 0$bNjHacI 801 1$bNjHacl 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910774878003321 996 $aDiari 1963-1977$93662735 997 $aUNINA LEADER 05239nam 22006375 450 001 9910731000903321 005 20251008131343.0 010 $a3-031-23133-3 024 7 $a10.1007/978-3-031-23133-9 035 $a(CKB)5720000000228890 035 $a(DE-He213)978-3-031-23133-9 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC30592720 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL30592720 035 $a(PPN)272264733 035 $a(OCoLC)1384458358 035 $a(ODN)ODN0010067525 035 $a(EXLCZ)995720000000228890 100 $a20230612d2023 u| 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurnn#008mamaa 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 10$aCapturing the Senses $eDigital Methods for Sensory Archaeologies /$fedited by Giacomo Landeschi, Eleanor Betts 205 $a1st ed. 2023. 210 1$aCham :$cSpringer International Publishing :$cImprint: Springer,$d2023. 215 $a1 online resource (XIV, 264 p. 95 illus., 74 illus. in color.) 225 1 $aQuantitative Methods in the Humanities and Social Sciences,$x2199-0964 311 08$a3-031-23132-5 327 $aPreface -- Introduction (G.Landeschi and E. In particular, it encourages specialists to consider senses and human agency as important factors in studying ancient space, while recognising the role played by digital tools in enhancing a human-centred form of analysis. Significant advances in archaeological computing, digital methods, and sensory approaches have led archaeologists to rethink strategies and methods for creating narratives of the past. Recent progress in data visualisation and implementation, as well as other nascent digital sensory methods, means that it is now easier to explore and experience ancient space from a multiscalar perspective, from the individual body or single building to the wider landscape. The chapters in Capturing the Senses: Digital Methods for Sensory Archaeologies present innovative methods for representing an embodied experience of ancient space, simulating (but not recreating) ancient behaviours and social interaction. Chapters cover topics including the potentials and pitfalls of visualising, recreating, and re-enacting/experiencing the senses in Virtual Reality environments and also digital reconstructions and auralisations of ancient spaces to study sound sensory perception. Overall, the book demonstrates that multisensory approaches can give a new perspective on how ancient spaces were intended to be used by inhabitants to fulfil a series of purposes including conveying messages and regulating movement.
