The goal is to provide a readable access and broad overview over different approaches to the topic to graduate and PhD students as well as to young researchers. The book presents both, theoretical and experimental insights and is structured in three parts. The first addresses the theoretical models beyond special and general relativity such as string theory, Poincare gauge theory and teleparallelism as well as Finsler gravity. In turn, the second part is focused on the observational effects that these models generate, accounting for tests and comparisons which can be made on all possible scales: from the universe as a whole via binary systems, stars, black holes, satellite experiments, down to laboratory experiments at micrometer and smaller scales. The last part of this book is dedicated to quantum systems and gravity, showing tests of classical gravity with quantum systems, and coupling of quantum matter and gravity. 410 0$aLecture Notes in Physics,$x1616-6361 ;$v1017 606 $aGravitation 606 $aRelativity (Physics) 606 $aMathematical physics 606 $aCosmology 606 $aAstrophysics 606 $aClassical and Quantum Gravity 606 $aGravitational Physics 606 $aAlternative Relativity 606 $aTheoretical, Mathematical and Computational Physics 606 $aCosmology 606 $aAstrophysics 615 0$aGravitation. 615 0$aRelativity (Physics) 615 0$aMathematical physics. 615 0$aCosmology. 615 0$aAstrophysics. 615 14$aClassical and Quantum Gravity. 615 24$aGravitational Physics. 615 24$aAlternative Relativity. 615 24$aTheoretical, Mathematical and Computational Physics. 615 24$aCosmology. 615 24$aAstrophysics. 676 $a929.605 702 $aPfeifer$b Christian 702 $aLa?mmerzahl$b C$g(Claus),$f1956- 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910746954503321 996 $aModified and Quantum Gravity$93571219 997 $aUNINA
