It examines how these concepts are regularly used by politicians and by the media. The two concepts are however largely treated as being separate and discrete, and given equal coverage. The argument in this book is that the two concepts are inter-related and that good governance is a prerequisite for sustainability. The focus of the book therefore is different from most, as it seeks to integrate these two important issues. The approach used in this book is based on the tradition of the Social Responsibility Research Network ? a worldwide body of scholars that, over its 20-year history, has sought to broaden the discourse and to treat all research as inter-related and business-relevant. The book examines diverse aspects of the changes to corporate and institutional behaviour that have recently manifested by focusing on these two aspects of sustainable development. Thus, the authors explore engagement and partnership between organisations, in order to consider the extent to which the focus has changed so much that we need to think about new approaches to our understanding of sustainability and differing effects in practice. The international mix of authors makes this an original contribution, sharing some of the best ideas from around the world. 410 0$aApproaches to Global Sustainability, Markets, and Governance,$x2520-8780 606 $aIndustrial management$xEnvironmental aspects 606 $aBusiness 606 $aManagement science 606 $aBusiness ethics 606 $aInternational business enterprises 606 $aTaxation$xLaw and legislation 606 $aExecutive power 606 $aCorporate Environmental Management 606 $aBusiness and Management 606 $aBusiness Ethics 606 $aInternational Business 606 $aFiscal Law 606 $aExecutive Politics 615 0$aIndustrial management$xEnvironmental aspects. 615 0$aBusiness. 615 0$aManagement science. 615 0$aBusiness ethics. 615 0$aInternational business enterprises. 615 0$aTaxation$xLaw and legislation. 615 0$aExecutive power. 615 14$aCorporate Environmental Management. 615 24$aBusiness and Management. 615 24$aBusiness Ethics. 615 24$aInternational Business. 615 24$aFiscal Law. 615 24$aExecutive Politics. 676 $a346.065 702 $aCrowther$b David$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aSeifi$b Shahla$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910734092403321 996 $aGovernance and Sustainability$93400394 997 $aUNINA
