Furthermore, it describes a unique beam-based approach to handling joint structures consisting of thin-walled beams, compiled here for the first time. This higher-order beam theory (HoBT), developed by the authors over the past two decades, uses more than six degrees of freedom (DOFs) in contrast to the classical theories, which use only six DOFs. The additional degrees of freedom describe sectional deformations such as warping and distortion. This book presents a novel systematic procedure to derive the sectional deformations analytically for rectangular cross-sections and numerically for arbitrarily-shaped cross-sections. This book is a must for structural/mechanical engineers who wish to understand and design structures involving thin-walled beams. 410 0$aSolid Mechanics and Its Applications,$x2214-7764 ;$v257 606 $aGirders 606 $aThin-walled structures 610 $aEngineering 610 $aTechnology & Engineering 615 0$aGirders. 615 0$aThin-walled structures. 676 $a301 700 $aKim$b Yoon Young$c(Professor of mechanical engineering)$01359482 702 $aJang$b Gang-Won 702 $aChoi$b Soomin 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 912 $a9910726275103321 996 $aAnalysis of Thin-Walled Beams$93373980 997 $aUNINA
