Der Begriff ?Bild? subsumiert hierbei die rhetorische Stilisierung durch Tropen und Figuren, die Verwendung von Symbolen mit Verweisfunktion und graphische oder plastische Bilder in archäologisch-kunstgeschichtlichem Sinne. Die Beiträge aus der Klassischen Philologie, Theologie, Religionswissenschaft, Klassischen Archäologie, Iranistik und Judaistik thematisieren diesen vielschichtigen ?Griff zum Bild?: Sie stellen sich der Leitfrage, welche Bilder die Autoren bzw. Künstler mit welcher Intention verwenden, wenn sie die ?Ein-heit? Gottes ansprechen und funktionalisieren.
